HAWKES HIDEAWAY: April 2014
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Saturday, April 5, 2014. April 5 - The End Of 4 Months in Tasmania. Not real sure where this was taken but it was currently being lived in. Stuart wanted to tell Kylie (our book keeper) that we had just bought a really good investment property in Tasmania but lucky for her we had no internet for a few days and by then the joke was a bit stale. I said just get me out of there. After that drive I was a nervous wreck. On Sarah Island we were met by actors who re...

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: May 2015
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Monday, May 18, 2015. In a paddock between Parkes and Condobolin in New South Wales, are the Utes in The Paddock that have been well documented on TV and I mentioned them and added photos to this blog a few years ago. But now we have Animals on Bikes which is a series of sculptures done by farmers, wives and school kids a few years ago to take farmers minds of the drought and to lift spirits. I loved them and I hope you enjoy them too. Stuart and Lesley HAWKE.

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: November 2013
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Friday, November 22, 2013. WE'RE OFF TO TASMANIA. After a week at a caravan park where we did the usual, washing, shopping etc, we meandered up into the Great Dividing Range where we made camp at The Upper Yarra reserve about 24 klms from Warburton in Victoria. It was a lovely spot only a few kilometres from the start of the Yarra River. Unfortunately, it cost us a fortune to get there, as we went through 9 tolls in about 10 klms. The locals must just love it.

http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Sunday, September 29, 2013. Christmas in September Right Down the Coast. After arriving back from overseas, our plan was to head south to Tasmania for about 6 months but before we could do that we had to have Christmas with family in Clermont, Mackay, Rockhampton, Ipswich and Brisbane. Christmas in Clermont was lovely and we picked up the van which boarded with Annie and family while we were away. Annie, Dale, Deanna, Kimberly and Thomas. Kathy, Kylie and Me.

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: December 2013
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Sunday, December 29, 2013. 25 December - Christmas in Hobart. We had booked to have Christmas lunch at the Wrest Point Casino and it lived up to all expectations. The food was amazing and even more special because I didn't prepare it. There were prawns and oysters in a never ending supply and all the other Christmas fare with drinks coming as fast as we wanted them for 3 hours. At 230 we rolled into the first taxi and headed home for a rest. The 28th was our ...

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: April 2015
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Thursday, April 30, 2015. As we headed south over the last couple of days the weather got colder with each kilometre of road we clicked off. We left Gunadah after a pleasant 21' night to get down the road to a free camp and 9' outside and 14' inside - and then the rain started. In Gulgong, we visited an old Salvation Army Church which is now home to one of the biggest collections of Henry Lawson memorabilia. Mudgee has a population of about 11,000 but they pu...

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: May 2013
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Saturday, May 11, 2013. We arrived in Canberra at Peter and Sandy's to a very warm welcome but after 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year they may have been pleased to see us depart and let Peter get his piece of dirt in the front yard back. We had a wonderful time with Phil and Tara and Jasmine, Kai and Mica, Amanda and Ben and Izaac, and David and Holly and Ashley - and of course Peter and Sandy. Lee, Alex, Wayne, Lesley and Lesley. Grandma Trudgen and Kai.

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: December 2012
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Monday, December 10, 2012. We booked into a council park on the Mornington Peninsular at Rosebud for a week and tripped around from there. We are right on the beach in the shade under the trees with a 20 mitre walk down to the waters of Port Phillip Bay. The official cause of death was drowning but the rumours. Either way he was never seen again. After we came back down to earth and travelled back to our little caravan we realised that we would sooner be livi...

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: Weddings! Parties! Anything!
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2015/07/weddings-parties-anything.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Sunday, July 26, 2015. What a whirlwind trip home I just had. In under a month, I flew from Dubbo back to Brisbane, saw the eye specialist, had the weekend with Brett, Trina and the kids in Ipswich, back to Brisbane by train on Monday and into the Queensland Eye Hospital to have cataract surgery, with Brett picking me up at the hospital and back to Ipswich for the rest of the week. Eithen following his school sports day. Me with my brother Pete and sister Shel.

HAWKES HIDEAWAY: March 2014
http://hawkeshideaway.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Friday, March 14, 2014. 17 February - More Tasmania. My first trip to Mackay for 2014 wasn't very eventful unless you count catching up with family which is always a major bonus. There were meetings, a trip to Rocky and Yeppoon to see Tracy and Tony, Joe, Nicky and the boys and Nana. A stop over in Brisbane to have a Corneal Transplant in my right eye and then back to Hobart where I resumed our trip around Tasmania before returning to the mainland mid April.
