For my mum's birthday earlier this year I sewed an apron from fabric which I bought online and found in a charity shop. The theme I chose for the fabric was French, as she is a retired French teacher. While searching for a good pattern I stumbled upon this and used it for my project:. French Fat Quarter Apron. Froyle Fete
For 70 years this annual event has been held on the second Saturday in July on the Recreation Ground in Lower Froyle. In conjunction with the Fête, Froyle Gardening Club organises a Flower Show in Froyle Village Hall. Froyle House built for Thomas Burmindham in 1820. Froyle is situated on the edge of The Downs above the Pilgrims' Way that leads from Winchester to Canterbury. There was a Church at Froli (mentioned in the Domesday Book) in 1086. It is also known by some who live there as the 'village of the saints' because of the 19 statues of saints in niches on the front walls of houses and other buildings in Upper Froyle. Froyle Oak Framing is based in the picturesque village of Lower Froyle, Hampshire. My inspiration was taken from the many fine examples of oak framed barns and buildings that are in Froyle and many other surrounding Hampshire and Surrey villages. Various profiles of oak cladding are available, or various softwoods such as Larch, if you are working to a specific budget in mind. I also undertake all roof framing and tiling or slating. We have full Public Liability Insurance cover.
