To the Beat(tie) of my own drum. Sunday, September 2, 2007. Week 7 and . Yet another kick at the stairs to start out the week. OK, now this was tiring. I know I've said that before, but really, this was the first time I've stood dazed afterwards, trying to imagine how it is that triathletes and such can keep their heart rates elevated so high for so long. 2 footed hop up the first 3X5 set of stairs. Run over to the regular stairs, climb 3 flights, do 25 pushups. Climb next 4 flights, do 25 tricep dips.

To the Beat(tie) of my own drum. Thursday, July 19, 2007. I have I didn’t do the prescribed weekend homework – maybe a mistake, but I did run on Friday and I was tired! And it was dang hot out too! So Monday’s workout at Edworthy Park was a bit tough. We started by running up the hill twice. And not the long, paved road hill, but the “oh my god, I’m not sure I should even ride my mountain bike down here! My abs still hurt! 183; 12lb bar – 7 bottom half bicep curls, 7 top half curls, 7 full curls. The Hob...

To the Beat(tie) of my own drum. Friday, August 31, 2007. Week 5 and 6. After the events of week 3 and taking week 4 off, I was expecting a bit of a rough go in week 5. Monday was actually a holiday, so no class and by the time I go back on Wednesday it’s been 2 full weeks since my last boot camp …. Uh oh! And it’s a return to the STAIRS! Try this one: 8-10lbs weights in each hand. Full lunge – step forward and have your back knee just above the ground. Bicep curl while in the lunge. Wednesday takes us t...

We missed it a few times and then caught up with it. The first miss, I actually saw it going by up ahead and was totally choked up . I'm a total Olympics geek! That would be pretty expensive, me thinks. I'm sure they all get to keep the outfits too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Im a total Olympics geek. Miss Emma Gillespie's 2010 blog-a-day.

To the Beat(tie) of my own drum. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. So no more weekends, evenings and 12hr shifts. For the time being, it's 8-4:30 and I have time for yoga, running, grocery shopping, you name it! And I can make plans for weekends in advance! A weight has been lifted as they say. Yes, that is the sound of relief. Tuesday, March 13, 2007. I started blogging about my snow day today, but it's turning out to be a blogger day. I went into my old blog. And read some old posts - kinda funny! A person's ap...

to the Beat(tie) of my own drum: BBC - Day 2
http://owndrum.blogspot.com/2007/07/bbc-day-2.html
To the Beat(tie) of my own drum. Thursday, July 12, 2007. BBC - Day 2. I'm sorry I ever doubted the pain. I never realized I had quite so many ouchable parts in my calves alone until this week. So the run on Tuesday at lunch was a really bad idea as I have barely been able to walk since. And then came Wednesday's workout:. Then we went to the "circuit":. Sit ups with outstreached arms holding 5lb weights in each. Push ups with a 5 second sideways plank between each. Then another 2 sets of suicide sprints.

to the Beat(tie) of my own drum: Week 3/4
http://owndrum.blogspot.com/2007/08/week-34.html
To the Beat(tie) of my own drum. Thursday, August 16, 2007. So things haven't been all about bootcamp. A bit of a detour . I'll get to that. On my way back downtown after class, I got the call from Sean that he'd "had a bit of an accident with the quad". So, 1 quick drive to Edmonton, several scary hours imagining that "in sickness and in health" was kicking in a bit too early. Week 4, Sean and I took off for some much needed chill time in BC. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Week 5 and 6.

At any time I could get 72 hrs notice and away I go to Yorkton, SK. Interestingly enough, I have a cousin - Peggy/Maggie/Margaret - who lives there with her husband and I think 2 little kids, and I haven't seen her for 5-6 years, so I would be excited to go out there for a few weeks and visit. Last update was something like:. Wednesday, April 18, 2007.
