Musings of a pagan elder from the beautiful gardens of Wytchwood, located in Newfoundland, Canada. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. A Tree Hugging Kind of Day. So many leaves on the ground the whole property is gold and orange with the odd bit of red thrown in. I've been trying to get things put to bed bit by bit. For some reason my heart doesn't seem to be in it like other years. Maybe because I've been busy preparing for the long cold winter to come. Regardless, yesterday I got a bit done. Cats on a dull day.

Musings of a pagan elder from the beautiful gardens of Wytchwood, located in Newfoundland, Canada. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. This weekend is a long one, Monday being a holiday. I expect we'll see an influx of people coming to open their summer houses and cabins. And so it begins. Traffic and strange faces up until Labour Day weekend in September. New birds have been at the suet feeders for days now. Yellow Rumped Warblers. They are so pretty. Small birds as well. Saturday, May 02, 2015. Toad's Hall of Fame.

Musings of a pagan elder from the beautiful gardens of Wytchwood, located in Newfoundland, Canada. Monday, November 17, 2014. I got a phone call last night that there was a coyote seen not far from my house. Thankfully all the cats were inside. A bear was also sighted up behind me recently so caution must prevail at the moment. I haven't been taking many pictures lately. Don't know why really. Too busy to think about it I guess. Anyway, here's a few that I did take. Sunday, November 09, 2014.

Gives me a spring feeling. The sun is higher in the sky these days and I can feel the warmth as it comes through the windows. My old shed on a sunny day. It's going to have to come down at some point this year. It's seen it's day. It's served me well for about thirty five years. Squirrel in a bit of a blizzard. The Quacks of Life.

Musings of a pagan elder from the beautiful gardens of Wytchwood, located in Newfoundland, Canada. Monday, July 20, 2015. The weather has been dreadful. Cold and overcast. No summer this year it seems. I suppose we have to take it in our stride, not much can be done about it. My daughter and I went off yesterday morning to take a few pictures. We ended up in Burnside which is a community just a few minutes drive down the road. So sorry that the weather didnt play ball and be more summerlike though. (.

Friday, October 24, 2014. I'm still working away on pieces for the artisan show I'll be part of next weekend, but for now I wanted to show some photos of the "Drawing With Stitches" class I'm taking right now. We've learned a few hand embroidery stitches and each person is working on a project of her choice. This blackwork piece is being done by our instructor, Amy Ropple. Freehand, with no pattern. Beautiful! Two people, AnnMarie and Amy, are making designs using only French knots. Hopefully my system w...
