自然中學

近日在看《瑟谷傳奇——美國的夏山：自主學習教育的理想與實踐》一書，當中「奇蹟的經費預費」與及「教師」這兩篇讓我回想起自然學校創校時之情景……. 當年的瑟谷，是由十二位老師沒拿一毛錢薪水開始的，而自然學校，也有八位志友，不介意收入不穩定，全身投入籌建自然學校。當時尚未找到校舍，建校之路無期，但抱著對教育的理想與熱忱，就在原訂開校之日，租了一間村屋，作為臨時辦公室及教育中心，以示決心。 記得當時區大哥還特意送我們一套竹杯，八個人剛好一人一隻，上面刻有「同心同行、甘苦與共」作為支持及勸勉。 今天，鄉師自然學校已進入第八個年頭，但教育夢何止於此？ 今個聖誕，有十五位志友自掏腰包飛往台灣取經(其中四位是自校的全職同工、一位兼職、一位家長)，為想在香港創建一所另類中學而努力。(詳見「見中之旅」). 有家長知道有一班人浩浩蕩蕩的飛往台灣，以為自然中學經已成事，我只能回應：唯有開始了、努力了，才有機會成事，若不開始，夢就永遠只能是一個夢……. 十二月，我們一群有心創辦中學的人，到台灣取經學習之餘，更希望能凝聚一班志友，為香港開辦第一所自然中學而努力。 校監蟋蟀講名片的那句MISSION STATEMENT包含對學生的期...
