Life as I chewed it has ceased to exist! I’ve always dehydrated easily. It took until my late 30s to understand that. I hated water and still just tolerate it; I went through most of my life drinking milk, tea and soda with some juice thrown in here and there. You really do need plain water for your health, too. Finally, my mother fussed at me to call my surgeon as I truly thought it was severe gas- it was moving, after all. Who thinks that is something you should just tough out? Posted in Eureka moments.

Life as I chewed it has ceased to exist! I can walk on a treadmill for 20 minutes now. Granted, I’m at a medium-paced walk of 2.5 mph, but I’m doing sustained walking! I still hate xrcz but I’m doing it. It was part of the agreement I made to have this surgery- a commitment to the program. I’m not perfect but I’m doing it. It’s annoying and I’m doing it. For years, I’d described myself as a carbetarian thanks to my sister who was a vegetarian- I wanted a label, too, and I’m way too picky to be an omnivore! I’ve even had veggie chips (sweet potato chips satisfy so many different cravings). And, there’s the magic word: cravings. Life as I chewed it has ceased to exist! Growing up in Central Florida we spent time at the beach in the summers. These were the last years I was “normal” size. Camping with my boy, Tug (Tug O’War, a Boston Terrier). This was about 25 lbs lighter than the heaviest I’ve ever been. He’s going to miss my stomach as I lose weight- he loved to snuggle and lounge on me. 8220;Before” my hair makeover (Saturday, 10/4/14). About 55 weeks post-surgery and about 130 lbs down. Life as I chewed it has ceased to exist! Recipe: Baked Oatmeal Cups (Muffins). There’s a lot of sugar in this one but if you make 16 muffins it’s about 1 tablespoon per muffin. These are dense so that’s a lot to eat post bypass. 1/4 cup canola oil. 1 cup packed brown sugar or sugar Splenda blend. 1/2 cup applesauce, no sugar added or low sugar. 1 1/2 cups milk (I used lactose free and it was fine). 1 tablespoon vanilla (original recipe was 2 teaspoons). 3 cups old rolled oats (not quick cook). Life as I chewed it has ceased to exist! Habits and the lack thereof. I’m over a year into this xrcz (exercize) routine and still I wouldn’t call it a habit. I have lifted over 500,000 lbs, had over 130 workout sessions, rearranged my work schedule to pick up an extra water fitness class each week and, if given the option, I would drop working out like a hot potato! 8221; I don’t think that word means what they think it means….
