Grilled Chicken and Pasta Salad. 1 small pkg. spinach. 1 8 oz. pkg. bowtie pasta- cooked, drained, and cooled. 2-4 T sesame seeds. 1/2 c sunflower seeds. 1 can sliced water chestnuts. 3 chicken breasts- seasoned heavily with lemon pepper seasoning, grilled (or baked), and cut into bite-size pieces. 1 c bean sprouts. 1 tsp sesame seeds.

It's from a Betty Crocker cookbook called "Southwest Cooking" from 1989. I've made it so often that the book binding broke right at that page so it just falls open to it. This is a great recipe that even kids love. We usually have it with cornbread, which I will attempt to make with soy milk tonight. 3/4 cup chopped onion. 1 clove garlic, finely chopped.

Monday, January 9, 2012. Dreadful Dinner Dilemmas Dissolved. Eating is a small portion of it, what matters to her is the ritual of gathering together at the end of the day, seeing each other and talking. Oh, and eating. Sometimes I get into my meal planning groove and life is good. I wish it happened more often. In an effort to be more consistent and after reading lots of reviews, we are trying this. So far, so good. The food has been good, the meals easy to fix and the grocery budget is low.
