Running Through Phoenix: November 2011
http://jeffg-runningthroughphoenix.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Photo taken just before I crammed my face into this jar. I hear and read lots about that and will work it in to the rotation. I'm wary of protein powders. Each have their positives and negatives, but all have their expense and ersatz nature. What do you eat/drink after a workout? Any response to the rise in price? Nut he he he. Running Through Phoenix: January 2012
http://jeffg-runningthroughphoenix.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. Saturday Morning Long Runs. These Heart rate zones can change over time based on fitness, so it's a good idea for me to wear the HR monitor, at least periodically, for overall accountability and to track changes in my overall running fitness. I'm a huge fan of the Garmin running GPS systems, and I use the Garmin Forerunner 305. With the Garmin HR monitor bra-strap. I would be very interested in testing and positively reviewing a brand new Garmin Forerunner 910XT. Has been a pret...

Running Through Phoenix: August 2011
http://jeffg-runningthroughphoenix.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 25, 2011. And fucking sterilize everything! Fifteen years ago this summer, I made a final decision to fully explore a lump that had been on my scalp since childhood. The lump came and went over the years, sometimes feeling like a little pimple, and sometimes like a lima bean. I didn't know it at the time, but I had a sebaceous cyst. From Wikipedia: another excellent source of medical information! A veritable flight of naval germs. And said that I didn't have A. Tuesday, August 23, 2011.

Running Through Phoenix: November 2013
http://jeffg-runningthroughphoenix.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 30, 2013. The Sleeves are Changing. It's that time of year in Phoenix when the short sleeves start blending into long sleeves. I dump my summer drawer and rotate up my winter drawer (grimly assessing the limited combinations and fashion levels). I usually start a run with the sleeves down, then push them up my arms as the run goes on, and by the time I'm done, I'm down to my 5" shorty-shorts and no shirt. Huddling, and I want to be warm but not have to shed/discard too much inventory a...

Running Through Phoenix: Mizuno Wave Rider 15 Product Review
http://jeffg-runningthroughphoenix.blogspot.com/2012/06/mizuno-wave-rider-15-product-review.html
Friday, June 8, 2012. Mizuno Wave Rider 15 Product Review. I have the best relatives! People who barely know me, yet send me money from New York to help buy running shoes. Thanks mom and dad, and Bruno, Camille, and Aunt Lorraine! There has been a lot of internet searching lately to try to decide on my newest pair of running shoes. My best estimate is that I have about 150 more miles left on the other shoes I use, so it's time to work a new pair into the rotation. Does this really need a caption? We proc...

About me …. Janathon Day 30 – club run. January 2013 – Catch up →. Janathon Day 31 – Janathon COMPLETED! January 31, 2012. I have done it! I have run 32 days in a row (every day in January and the 10k race on NYE)! I have completed the Janathon 2012! I have therefore treated myself to a little reward for my efforts. So I didn’t. As I did on the evening of 31st January 2011 I once again started to wonder what I had learned from doing the Janathon. Again it is very late in the evening and I am very tir...

About me …. Janathon Day 28 – Cambridge parkrun. Janathon Day 30 – club run →. Janathon Day 29 – pub run! January 29, 2012. After having a bit of a lazy day, I finally went out for a run with Tonyparkrunner at around 6pm this evening. I bought some trail shoes yesterday as my road shoes keep getting really muddy at the parkrun and the next frostbite is also likely to be very muddy, so I wanted to do a comfortable run in them tonight to break them in. To go inside any of them. Distance: 2.5 miles. Hi Sooz...

Training week 6 | sooozie

About me …. January 2013 – In Training! Busy busy… →. January 27, 2013. I was so glad to make it back to the car after my Garmin told me that I finally did the 8 miles. On the plus side my hamstring felt completely fine and I finished the 8 miles pretty much on target, however I picked up a couple of blisters on the way so I need to work out why before my next long run.
