Tuesday, February 05, 2013. Then the day after my Father's funeral, I found out that I'm PREGNANT! It was such a sad time because I never got to tell my Dad that there was going to be a new addition to the family. So life has been dealing me all these ups and downs. Wednesday, November 07, 2012. I was extremely thrilled to find out that Marimekko has opened up a store in Sydney. So I went to check it out a lunch time. All my favourite designs were there. We had bought a quilt cover in the red poppy design (Unikko) while we were in Copenhagen and a few other bits and pieces. I also bought some of the red Unikko in the plastic bonded fabric to make a tablecloth out of. I went to several Marimekko stores and I found it's cheaper in Berlin! Thougt up by Lien.

Saturday, June 07, 2014. This turned out to be a great idea as it was only a 30 minute train ride from Frankfurt airport and it was such a quaint town right on the Rhine. Luckily in Dubai, we got upgraded to a suite at the hotel and pretty much zonked out after lunch. Dubai to Frankfurt was much more civilised and Mr M was perfect. Completely different to the baby I left Sydney with. Fountain with geothermal water (it's pretty hot). BFG, Mr M and the Russian Church up at Neroberg. Wiesbaden New Town Hall.

If I waited any longer, this post would really be about our next holiday which is to Hawaii (I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about going to Hawaii - it's somewhere I've always wanted to go). Thursday, October 23, 2014. How did I live before Thermobot? It seems to be used almost every day. Breadmaking has become a regular thing. So very easy. Being able to grind grains for the flour is somehow very inspiring. Once upon a time you could buy dark, heavy, sweet and sour black bread in the Estonian style in Sydney. That bread with liverwurst and sliced tomato with fresh black pepper is my idea of heaven. It is almost impossible to find now, (does anyone know where to get it? Links to this post.

Thursday, July 03, 2014. What day is it? This post deals with Tuesday 1st July, in Prague. One of those options was a SIX-HOUR walking tour which started at 1.00. It was only 10.30 or so, so we decided to mosey around a bit. Up the hill to the Castle, a bit of a look around, and down the steps again. That was quite a walk, but more was to come. Friday, July 30, 2010. Last full day, one more sleep. There really hasn't been anything to report, other than the regular swim among the usual suspects, snoozing, reading, and eating. The usual suspects include triggerfish, eels, parrotfish, moorish idols, and a largeish squid who hangs out most of the time under the furthest buoy. Occasional visitors are the turtles. And once I saw an exquisite fish I have been unable to identify, with long long feathery fins. What of all the great plans for knitting?

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Today's adventures in Thermiland. There wasn't much opportunity for cooking yesterday. A morning of playing with databases, afternoon with plumber and hot tub repairer, choir practice in the evening so no dinner. But I did make porridge for breakfast. A cold rainy morning seems to call for oatmeal! Today was shopping day so I shopped with Thermie in mind. When we got home, I went to work. Looks pretty good, huh? It will form the basis of a bolognaise sauce soon. I think I did.
