Sunday, April 26, 2015. What our backyard looked like a few week ago: a bunch of half assembled bee hive boxes, one hard-working husband and a cute pajama clad baby "cleaning" up wood shavings. I just love Brooks' cute smile and his chin dripping with drool. Gotta love teething babies! Bake sale at the kids' school. I always make the same thing - chocolate chip cookies. It's really the only thing I ever bake, but I'm glad they are such a hit with Turks! All dressed up on Easter Sunday. Hi, I'm Charity!

Friday, August 1, 2014. We really do live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world and every summer we try to get out and explore some more of it. In the middle of June we headed 4 hours south to spend three days on the beautiful Dalyan river. Enjoy the pictures :). The Dalyan river with Lycian rock tombs in the mountain. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Getting into the Word! I've been so excited to see Yohanis and Colson enjoying reading so much lately. Bedtime for our kids is usually 8:00, but after the littles are tucked in, Yohanis and Colson get all comfy in their beds and read for a half hour or 45 minutes before it's lights out for them. Sunday, July 27, 2014. We got family pictures taken this summer by some new friends visiting Turkey who are professional photographers. We have never done this before and it was so fun! If you know me, you know I love taking pictures and hanging them ALL OVER MY HOUSE! We have moved a lot and the first thing that needs to be done for me to feel at home in a new place is to hang up some pictures on the wall. Friday, September 19, 2014. First day of school! On September 15 the Turkish school year started. We had a fun summer, but the kids were (mostly) excited to go back to school, especially Vienna who couldn't wait to wear her "costume" (how she referred to her uniform. haha). We love our little village school and all the kids have great teachers who really care about their students and seeing them succeed! Thursday, September 18, 2014. Friday, July 10, 2015. Black Sea or Bust - Day 7 and 8. It was finally time to head in the direction of home. On the way up North, we drove mostly along the coast, but on the way back we wanted to take a different route. Beautiful river running in between the mountains. We had planned to drive about 3 hours and then camp in the Bolu mountains for the night, but the rain changed our plans. Instead we drove 7 hours in one day and cut our trip short by a day. And all of this for 150TL which is about $56!
