Into the wild blue yonder…. It’s been about a year since I’ve been out here. A year ago,. I did not think I would be on the ground in Afghanistan within a year. I did not think I could see past the next few days, much less week, much less month. I did hope and pray for the best, despite the circumstances. C: “I think you should write a book. don’t waste your sufferings”. Lots and lots of flying. The things said/done, and worse-implied/suggested, were as sickening and insulting, as devastating and painful.

A day in the life of a mochi. Jenn’s wishlist…. There are a few things that I want later, since i’m not sure how long I’ll be in DC. These are now designated with stars*, two stars means when I get my own place (aka probably much farther in the future). Lock-and-lock/glasslock or similar tupperware*. Set of pyrex baking ware/mixing bowls and such*. Small trifle bowl, for 4w “paradise found” awesomeness*. Hand mixer so i can finally make that cake without borrowing people’s mixers*. DONE: ice cream maker!
