Frothy Rotheys: May 2015
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 17, 2015. They would fall over on purpose onto the couch after that, but still. You didn't know the Washington Memorial was right next to a Helzburg Diamond store? Here the kids are taking a visit to the White House. Looks much bigger in the movies! Here's the Liberty Bell. It wasn't roped off very well, so we had to try to keep the kids off of it! This was the congress building. It was probably the coolest one because it was so big! A Healthy and Unhealthy Date. So it was Derek's turn for a ...

Frothy Rotheys: August 2015
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2015. Welcome baby Nicholas (Baby Nick)! On the afternoon of August 6th, I came home from work and took the older kids to their back to school night to meet their new teachers and to drop off their school supplies. Becca had had a doctors appointment earlier that day, and nothing out of the ordinary was going on. She was having some contractions when I left to go to the school, but she had had them on and off all the time over the last couple of months of the pregnancy. Here's baby Nic...

Frothy Rotheys: Luke's 6th
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2016/02/luke-6th.html
Sunday, February 21, 2016. Our kids have always enjoyed the Despicable Me movies, and their favorite characters from these movies are the little minions, who are basically little yellow bean shaped guys who work for the villain and say nonsensical sorts of things through the entire movie. Luke decided for his sixth birthday that he wanted to have a minion themed party. As you can tell the part of the party he was most excited for was opening up the presents. Seriously, he gets excited about everything!

Frothy Rotheys: March 2016
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 28, 2016. Fun AZ can be! In November, we took a family trip down to Arizona. Leaving the cold for 60-70 degrees? We did the drive in pretty good time, and stopped at Becca's parents' current "temple house" for dinner on a Tuesday evening before eventually making it down to Becca's parents' "regular house" where we were going to be staying. The reason we decided to go on the trip should be obvious. Sometimes you just have to fill that need for cheap, hole-in-the-wall Mexican food! Wednesday ...

Frothy Rotheys: July 2015

Monday, July 6, 2015. The Bombs Bursting in Air. This year, our neighborhood did such a good job at providing a fireworks show that we didn't have to go anywhere. Thanks for all the neighbors that made the trek up to Wyoming and dropped some serious bank on fireworks! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Bombs Bursting in Air. Picture Window theme. Frothy Rotheys: March 2015
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. As part of our Christmas present to the kids, we made a calendar so that each kid gets to go on a one-on-one date with a parent about twice every three months. We put together a little book with ideas that they could choose from, with everything from going out to get a treat or dinner, to going to do some activity, to staying home and getting to stay up late to watch a movie or play the Wii with a parent. The February camp out for the Scouts I work with was planned to be a snow ca...

Frothy Rotheys: June 2015
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. California - Days 4 and 5. The fourth morning of our trip, we went and played on the beach. Are you noticing a theme here? This was as close as we got to all three of them smiling at one time! That day's sandcastle was a pyramid, that for some reason the kids thought would be cooler if they poked a bunch of holes in it. We also made a pathway and river out of the front. Jared also got to play around this spot, and he may have enjoyed a few bites of cotton candy himself! That night,...

Frothy Rotheys: A Bowling we will go
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2016/02/a-bowling-we-will-go.html
Sunday, February 21, 2016. A Bowling we will go. So the kids did something to earn a fun family activity together. I don't remember what that is and that probably makes me a bad parent, but we did take the kids bowling, and maybe that makes me slightly less of a bad parent. There's a place called Brunswick zone that's not too far from our house so we decided to go there. Here is an action shot of Julia trying to pick up a spare! Here are Luke and Julia anxiously looking at their scores.

Frothy Rotheys: Hike to a park
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2015/11/hike-to-park.html
Sunday, November 22, 2015. Hike to a park. We have been trying to go on more walks and hikes as a family. There is a trail very close to our house in Daniel's park called the compass trail, and we have gone there enough times that we wanted to try something new. We found a part of the Highline canal trail that goes through all of Denver that we thought we could do. There was even a park right along the trail at a good turn around point, so we packed a dinner and went for a walk. This is Halloween 2015.

Frothy Rotheys: Basement Hockey
http://alexandbeccarothey.blogspot.com/2016/02/basement-hockey.html
Sunday, February 21, 2016. We recently acquired some small hockey sticks and goals to teach the kids how to play the sport I first learned to play as a toddler. Since it's winter time we decided to set everything up in the basement, which is exactly where I spent hours and hours playing hockey with my dad and brothers as a kid.
