Wednesday, February 11, 2015. After weeks of packing and many late nights at the warehouse, we were finally able to send off the container on Sunday. What a relief! All of our belongings were shipped along with the Fern's. After leaving Springdale on Sunday, the container traveled by truck to Memphis, then by train to New Orleans before being placed (today! Monday, May 11, 2015. The First 30 Days. It's hard to believe we've been here a month already. Our days have been busy and the weeks are flying by. We've loved being here. It's beautiful and the weather has been really nice. Mixing concrete for the brick layers. Last week we were able to help distribute sponsor gifts to the residential and community kids! Sunday, October 26, 2014. We're so excited to check another item off of our to-do list! We took pictures, set appointments, and sent off the applications for the kids' passports and got them back without any hiccups - yay! Kiera, Corbin, and Mackenzie }. We're also getting ready to put our house on the market to be sold! We met with our realtor this week and are touching up some paint and things before we take pictures and list it. Wednesday, March 11, 2015. When are you leaving? One of the most common questions we have been getting during this journey is, "when are you leaving? Oh, how he has blessed our efforts! We booked our tickets! We will be flying out of Tulsa, headed to Malawi on April 9th and we will land in Lilongwe, Malawi on Saturday, April 11th! Thursday, August 21, 2014. A few years ago, God began to stir our hearts and turned our eyes to the orphan crisis in the world. We knew God was leading us down a different path than we had planned for ourselves. After several months of praying for God's direction and pouring over the Scriptures, we felt God was calling us to overseas missions. And now, after a lot of prayer and planning, Casey and I are excited to share that we're moving to Malawi, Africa to serve as missionaries! Stay tuned for updates!
