Day 2: We started off the day by going to a donut shop that was made to be a big deal. I don't remember the name of it now or even why there was so much hype about it. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so a donut is just okay for me. The boys were pumped, though! The big kids played at the park, too! Brian and his Mini-Me. Yet another way I failed him - one picture - a lot of video). Last year, I had a hard time with Jacob’s birthday. This year I was ready for it to be over. We had already had my birthday, Andrew’s birthday, the boys’ birthday party, and now Jacob’s birthday. The end of Birthday Hell could not come fast enough. One way we completely failed him on his birthday is that we didn't sing Happy Birthday to him at all! I do have to say that Jacob is growing into such a wonderful boy! Jacob is a GREAT student!

Jacob started Kindergarten. By far, this has been the busiest month. Immediately after school started, we began the soccer season. So our schedule for the last month has been:. Sunday, August 19, 2012. Anna spent the entire vacation upside down. She was mostly doing handstands on the beach. Mia enjoyed sitting next to the waves and digging in the mud. She also loved throwing the mud at Mik. We all had fun making our sand castle city. This year we even added a ski mountain. It was a wonderful vacation to end the summer. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Lila - 18 Months. She is still wearing a size 3 diaper and is just now moving to size 12-18 month clothes. At her doctor appointment she weighted 21 lbs. 8 oz. and she was 31 and 3/4" tall. She has sprouted so many teeth. She has 12 now. I knew our Christmas weekend was going to be non-stop. With the two kids who are totally into Christmas this year, it was impossible to completely prepare for it mentally. Friday, December 23 - Steve's family, Sarah's family, and my family drove down to Red Oak to have our immediate family Christmas. The boys jumped right into the opening presents event.
