Is our modern culture different from the Sawi tenants? Two different cultures are in need of hope and the Light of this world- Jesus. I agree with you that there isn’t much difference between our culture and the Sawi. I also liked the point that you made about both cultures are desperately in need of Jesus Christ in their lives! I’ll come back =]! You m...

Going through Joan's Mind. Hi TO ALL MY LOVERS♥: LEAVE A COMMENT♡. Tuesday, January 30, 2007. How did Christianity change this culture? Before Christianity had become the basis of the Sawi culture, they have been living in society with a mindset that evil is the key to honor, survival, success, and happiness. They were always cautious of other tribe's deception or attack but even the betrayal of one's family or friends. February 28, 2007 at 5:41 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Peace Child: A Particular Significance from the novel....
http://carolthepeacechild.blogspot.com/2007/01/reflections.html
Sunday, January 28, 2007. A Particular Significance from the novel. Choose a representative passage from this novel that holds particular significance. To you. Type it in and comment on its significance. Only once did my presentation. Win a ringing response from them. I was describing Judas Iscariot's betrayal. But you said a friend-betrayed Him-if Yesus. It was very wrong to betray Him. We have a name for that. We call it tarop. It's the worst thing anyone could do! Tell us more." (Pg 182-183). A Partic...

The Peace Child: God...wants......
http://carolthepeacechild.blogspot.com/2007/01/faith-question-3.html
Sunday, January 28, 2007. What does God expect us to do for other cultures and faiths? I enjoyed reading your post, and I came to comment here just like I promised :D kkk. I fully agree with you that God wants us to spread his word, and I totally admire what Don Richardson did because he was risking everything by going to the Sawi tribe. I don't think I have that much faith yet to go that far for God. What do you think? What happens if God's beliefs conflict with what a certain culture believes?

http://carolthepeacechild.blogspot.com/2007/01/culture-question-1.html
Sunday, January 28, 2007. What should Society do? What should society do for “uncivilized cultures” like the Sawi? Your post is very moving. I think that you are correct that one group of people is not enough to help the uncivilized countries of the world. We should indeed help other countries and send them more than just money. However, what is the standard of such a normal living culture? Shouldnt these so called 'uncivilized' cultures be able to preserve some of their own? February 1, 2007 at 8:04 PM.
