And i’m turning 38…. Every year as I approach my birthday I try and reflect on what I’ve learned the previous year. This year, hands down the most valuable lesson I have learned is about being humble. Embrace being a parent of a teenager and realizing EXACTLY what the hell “patience” REALLY means. This past year I’ve also learned to face and accept my shortcomings…(yes, I am not perfect! Bring on. 38. RIP papa Dave, I miss you and think about you every day! 2012…that’s a wrap…. “you will do great……” | graduallythensuddenlyhere

8220;you will do great……”. As I was preparing for my personal training exam, I couldn’t stop talking about it, I was so excited, and people were genuinely excited for me! The day before I took it, I can’t tell you how many people told me “ohhhh Lisa, you will DO GREAT! 8221; Over and over and over again I heard this. So, I thought, “Lisa you will do great! And now begins my “official” new career as a LICENSED PERSONAL TRAINER! What a nice feeling to be with someone whose totally present…. 8220;you will d...

As I re-read my blog entry from last December….I can’t even begin to express what a year of change this has been for me…the person who stayed in her corporate comfort zone close to 16 years. There is no better gift than that of time. Happy Holidays and may the New Year bring out the best in all of you. XO. And i’m turning 38…. 2012…that’s a wrap…. Never underestimate the gesture of kindness. Long time no talk. 8220;you will do great……”.

Archive December, 2011. Sometimes you just have to take the leap, and build your wings on the way down…. Then, that my journey with this company I admired so much, would continue for 16 incredible years of my life. The people I have met, the knowledge I have gained, and the person I have become has almost everything to do with the leap of faith I took that August, 1997, and the company called Aveda. And i’m turning 38…. 2012…that’s a wrap…. Never underestimate the gesture of kindness. Long time no talk.

January | 2012 | graduallythensuddenlyhere

https://graduallythensuddenlyhere.wordpress.com/2012/01

Archive January, 2012. Two weeks and a life change. Or meeting a new person every single day(this part is what has been the most exciting! Fifteen years of my life packed into one medium size box…. As I sit here packing up my desk, preparing for my last day at Aveda, I just realized that everything I have collected, hung onto, saved, jotted down in notebooks, put onto flash drives in my career the past 15 years, fits nice and snug into one box. Really? I love what she says here. And another year passes.

https://my-wanderlustblog.com/2013/11/15/anncey-france

Travel, food, lifestyle. November 15, 2013. September 9, 2014. This is one of those little gems you discover and had never heard of. I hadn’t known about Anncey until I took my first trip to visit friends in Geneva, Switzerland. We rented a car and voila, we were on the border of France and Switzerland within an hour. Anncey has breathtaking views of the Rhone-Alps and sits on the northern tip of Lake Annecy. I took some local shop, people and market scenes while strolling through town.

Travel, food, lifestyle. The “Uppa Cape”: Falmouth, MA. May 24, 2014. June 8, 2014. Before departing for the Cape, I had mouth-watering dreams of fresh lobster, oysters and lazy bathing by the beach. My trip exceeded expectations. We stayed at a local resort (1 of only 3 in the area). It was a flashback to Dirty Dancing. Born in the 50’s this resort is home to Old Silver beach, one of the most breath-taking and natural beaches on the Cape. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Travel, food, lifestyle. September 7, 2013. September 12, 2014. Bright yellow trams wind their way through curvy tree-lined streets, and natives stroll through the old quarters and outdoor markets. Its very much a people watching city with many benches spread throughout. Grab a fresh pastry and bica (espresso) on the plaza and just soak in the people around you. Or if you prefer, go window shopping in Chiado or take in a sunset from a Moorish castle. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Augusta, Kentucky ...

Sunday, August 7, 2011. Aya, your baby is hungry. Do you want to give her some milk? From what I have read, many infants stop feeding during pregnancy because the taste of the milk changes.
