Grain of Rice Project...: March 2015
http://grainofriceproject.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Grain of Rice Project. Doing our part to tip the scale. Sunday, March 22, 2015. I'm reading this great book called, A Path Appears. It is the sequel to Half the Sky. But when I read this book I feel hope. The author writes, "Don't disparage the impact of a letter, or scorn a "drop in the bucket." That's how buckets get filled, that's how lives are changed, and that's how opportunity is created.". A true, life-changing impact upon the artists and kids we serve. An Intern to come to Kenya.

Heidi @ Home: Shopping With A Purpose!

Diary of a Domestic Diva Wannabe. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Shopping With A Purpose! Nothing fancy, but a quick blog, inspired by a friend's Facebook post last night about Gospel centered Fair Trade items made by artisans around the world. Most of these (but, admittedly not all) are non-profits so the money goes directly to the artisans and there are no "middle men" taking a cut. Here are a few I'm aware of. Please leave comments below with others so you can help spread the word! I've mentioned my love.

Grain of Rice Project. Doing our part to tip the scale. Friday, December 26, 2014. A Look Back at 2014. When you're in the midst of something, it's really hard to see the bigger picture. It's easy to focus on the problems, the discouragements, the hardships. But when you step back and try to remove yourself, often there is a new and refreshing perspective. This bigger picture perspective is especially true with Grain of Rice Project. Amy and Ashley our Kenyan friends. Tuesday, December 9, 2014. A Look Ba...

Grain of Rice Project. Doing our part to tip the scale. Sunday, October 19, 2014. What you thought you knew about Africa. And did you know that the African church is the fastest growing in the world? And that 7 of the 10 fastest growing economies are in Africa? My experience in Kenya has showed me that Kenyans have creative solutions, that they're hard working, and their spirit is resilient. Many people are poor, but many are not. Some of the biggest houses I've ever seen are in Nairobi.
