a Review from the Top: Sunday in Merida
http://techceo.blogspot.com/2015/01/sunday-in-merida.html
A Review from the Top. January 24, 2015. It seems there are many cities that now have Bicycle Street days on Sundays. When I was living in Caracas (1992-1994) they shut down the "Cota Mil" (thousand meter line) a freeway that skirted the national park El Avila. I believe that it started in Bogota in the 1980s. (Why Latin America? 191; Quien Sabe? These events are usually characterized as Ciclovías. We have them in Houston! And, of course, Merida! You'll notice she is watering the corn with her tears.

a Review from the Top: A short trip to Mérida, Mexico
http://techceo.blogspot.com/2015/01/a-short-trip-to-merida-mexico.html
A Review from the Top. January 20, 2015. A short trip to Mérida, Mexico. It has been noted that this blog has been quiet lately. But as Brother Matthew. Can attest, there aren't many other good ways to share a combination of writing and photos as blogging (whether with blogger, or some other service). It is pretty apparent, though, that Google is not. Really supporting either Blogger or its companion photo application Picasa anymore. I will be poorer for that.). We settled on M. I had Cochinita Pibil:.

A Review from the Top. January 23, 2015. Ku'uk Eating Modernist in Merida. A number of our friends said that we had to eat at Ku'uk, a restaurant in Merida with a "Modernist" take on Yucateco food. a Review from the Top: Uxmal
http://techceo.blogspot.com/2015/01/uxmal-and-mayacan.html
A Review from the Top. January 21, 2015. We decided to go to Uxmal on our first full day in Merida:. We also engaged a guide at the site. This was a wise decision, as none of us really know anything about Mayan ruins. This is what greeted us as we walked through the main gate:. It is called the Temple of the Magician (or Shaman, or Priest, or .). It is huge, and notable as it is the only Mayan temple with round sides. While looking at this, I thought of another Mount we have seen lately:. You can see tha...

a Review from the Top: March 2014
http://techceo.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A Review from the Top. March 27, 2014. The Bells of Notre Dame. Since 1856, the Bells of Notre Dame have been out of tune with each other. This has been pretty well known, and there was a move a while back to raise money to replace them (all but the biggest one - called The Bourdon Emmanuel) so that they sound better. But of course, since these bells were very old, they kept them and put them on display behind the cathedral:. Doreen felt sorry for the bells, so we took their photos. And ringing in noon:.
