Tuesday, 22 July 2014. Astra Militarum and 7th Edition- The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. With the Dawn of 7th Edition happening so soon after the release of the New Astra Militarum book, it has taken me a while to get my head around both books. Real life has been crazy, as is so often the case, and hobby time over the last few months really has got crushed. But it is looking up and hopefully I have a long summer of gaming ahead. :). So first up the Big (Obvious) Changes-. I see this ruling as an opportuni...

AJ's gaming world: February 2014

Sunday, 23 February 2014. Imperial Guard Tournament Display Board. So I dug out an old carry case and some foam board and set to work last Sunday evening. I started by measuring my army on the board, and test fitting details around it. The following pictures show a few details I built specifically for the board, aswell as some kids toys and old terrain pieces. I added a road, made simply from a thick strip of foam board with smaller squares of plasticard adding some surface detail. So with all the gaming...

Mechanical Warhorse: Ice Base Zero: Testing the playing field
http://mechanicalwarhorse.blogspot.com/2015/06/ice-base-zero-testing-playing-field.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. Ice Base Zero: Testing the playing field. Recently, I had a chance to set up the terrain pieces I had selected for Ice Base Zero. A couple of the pieces were not completed, so I added some proxies in order to get a feel for the final project. While it looked pretty good and there was plenty of cover for infantry, it was too wide open for vehicles and monsters. and it was just a little to. June 29, 2015 at 11:49 AM. Confessions of a 40k addict: Terrain is everything - Standard Template Constructs
http://www.40kaddict.uk/2011/02/terrain-is-everything-standard-template.html
Wednesday, 23 February 2011. Terrain is everything - Standard Template Constructs. One of the primary goals in this blog was to formalise any tutorials and templates that I had, to help other hobbyists. The 'STCs' I've created so far for my buildings have received a lot of hits on the articles, although I'm not sure how many new structures have been built but I'm appreciative of all the good vibes coming my way, thanks. In the mean time here's the STCs for what I've created so far:. 40k Targus Assault Bl...

Fully Painted: The Start of the Pre-Heresy Death Guard
http://fullypainted40k.blogspot.com/2012/04/start-of-pre-heresy-death-guard.html
Thursday, 26 April 2012. The Start of the Pre-Heresy Death Guard. When it came to painting I wanted to try and make these guys look like the spend hours making their armour pristine like say the Emperors Children so I went for shading the recesses in the armour with Chestnut Ink. Although I like the way these guys looked at the time, now I think there are a few things which need addressing which I'll come to later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://fullypainted40k.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 September 2012. You can't help but love them! Wednesday, 5 September 2012. Im having a bit of a break from the Death Guard at the moment. Not because Im bored of them or anything, Ive just been away from home a lot recently and I dont want to be carting lots of paints around with me. Luckily I still have tons of models which still need putting together and its far easier to take a few modelling tools and some glue with me wherever I go. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). You cant help but love them.
