As usual, it’s been a while since my last update. I am still here, percolating in the background. I’ve been thinking about my next project and I think I may have decided. It’s something urban. Don’t know much more than that, but that’s how these things always start… a simple idea. Then the passion and obsession comes in. November 27, 2014. November 27, 2014. Green Stuff Industries: My Top 9 Kits for Chaos Kit Bash Parts
http://greenstuffindustries.blogspot.com/2013/09/my-top-9-kits-for-chaos-kit-bash-parts.html
Tuesday, September 24, 2013. My Top 9 Kits for Chaos Kit Bash Parts. As you have probably gathered by what I post, I do a lot of model conversion and kit bashing. Over the 3 years of my tabletop war gaming career there have been a few model kits that really stood out, far above the rest, for conversion usefulness. These are my top 9 kits for Chaos Converting. I mostly convert because I can't afford buying all the models I want/need (YES, I need. There are some very nice heads (above), some great command ...

Green Stuff Industries: Sculpting Tools and Tips
http://greenstuffindustries.blogspot.com/2012/01/sculpting-tools-and-tips.html
Friday, January 13, 2012. Sculpting Tools and Tips. Originally I started with a set of these…. 8230; I believe they are a Gale Force Nine tool set. Before these, I was using an Xacto knife, which was very difficult. Mostly I use the pointy one (left) and the one with the sharp glaive-like end paired with the tiny trowel-like end (right). Pretty good starter kit except I think I paid $15.00 for it. Which might have been a bit on the expensive side. One more thing the pointy one is good for is placing smal...

Green Stuff Industries: Plastic Knives into Giant Scary Swords
http://greenstuffindustries.blogspot.com/2012/01/plastic-knives-into-giant-scary-swords_04.html
Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Plastic Knives into Giant Scary Swords. My Defiler kit bash had a problem: it was bringing two knives (each a former chainsword) to a space-aged gun fight. The knife in the right hand I was good with, I think it had the proper look and feel. The one in the left hand? That Defiler needed a large and crazy close combat weapon to go with its squirmy tentacles. Something that just looked Evil (pronounced “Eee-vil”). Unfortunately, I had no large bits in my boxes that fit the bill.

Green Stuff Industries: Tips for Switching to Dropzone Commander
http://greenstuffindustries.blogspot.com/2015/07/tips-for-switching-to-dropzone-commander.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Tips for Switching to Dropzone Commander. Last year I found the transition to Dropzone from 40k a little jarring. Recently teaching a friend of mine, a long time 40k player, how to play brought that process back to mind. So, I'd like to share some of my observations in order to maybe help others transition more smoothly than I did. It's All About Deployment. And Deployment Stretches Over Turns. Move and Fire or Fire and Move? Order of Activation is Critical. It will be harder to c...

Monday, June 29, 2015. What GSI Is Up To. It's been awhile since I've personally posted anything and I'm sorry about that. There has been a good reason, though! A New Vacuum Forming Heater! I've been wanting to do this for a while and finally got some spare cash available to begin. My rev1 unit worked pretty well but then I decided I can make it work better. Sooooo. now it's in pieces. I'll have it back up and running this coming weekend with whichever configuration works best. Once I know what the tooli...

Jugger's Garage: Great Unclean One WIP
http://juggersgarage.blogspot.com/2015/05/great-unclean-one-wip.html
Monday, May 4, 2015. Great Unclean One WIP. The GUO is coming along! I had initially wanted to do a big weapon in his left hand, but instead went with just the hooked claw. I'm pretty sure the official one coming down the pipe from G Dub will be armed, so I held off on it. Also, giant weapons can be tough to pull off well, IMO. There are good ones, and then ones that look too over the top and silly. I turned the lower jaw upwards just a bit to make the face more menacing. May 4, 2015 at 11:52 AM. Your te...
