Looking after your garden when you're on holiday

http://growingnicely.co.uk/looking-after-your-garden-when-youre-on-holiday

Gardening, growing food, plants and flowers. Recycling & Sustainability. Looking after your garden when you’re on holiday. July 27, 2015. In the midst of all this excitement I’ve been thinking about the practicalities of how the garden and allotment will cope while we’re away, this is my little plan:. White pelargonium, daisies and oregano. The number one thing has to be giving all containers a big drink to really soak the soil just before you go, aim the water at the soil rather than the plants,. Ask a ...

Gardening, growing food, plants and flowers. Recycling & Sustainability. Growing spectacular flowers from seed. August 6, 2015. We’re back from a few days in Cornwall and a visit to the wonderful Port Eliot festival. There was lots of creative stuff to see and do, some good food and walled gardens with spectacular flowers grown from seed. The walled garden at Port Eliot. Many of the plants were supplied as seeds by the charming Higgledy Gardener. Nasturtium, cornflowers, californian poppies and dill.

Red onion marmalade

http://growingnicely.co.uk/red-onion-marmalade

Gardening, growing food, plants and flowers. Recycling & Sustainability. July 24, 2015. This is one of the most delicious relishes that I’ve ever made. I’ve had red onion marmalade on my to-make list for a while now and I don’t know why I waited this long, because not only is it easy to make and delicious, there are an endless number of things it can be eaten with, try it with:. Sausages, burgers or steak. A dollop or two in pasta sauces or casseroles. Or simply with cheese and crusty bread. Meanwhile st...

What to do in your garden in August

http://growingnicely.co.uk/what-to-do-in-your-garden-in-august

Gardening, growing food, plants and flowers. Recycling & Sustainability. What to do in your garden in August. August 9, 2015. August is usually the hottest, driest month of the year, my advice is to keep work to a minimum and enjoy sitting in the shade enjoying the sunshine and blue skies whenever possible. There’s pruning to be done this month. Always cut just above a leaf joint and use sharp secateurs:. Don’t prune repeat-flowering roses this month, or you’ll miss out on the extra flowers. Trim back th...

http://linsin.blogspot.com/2010/10/rense-sofa-rengjringstips.html

Mandag, oktober 25, 2010. :). Matter og ryer kan også renses. Overmadrasser fikk også en runde!

http://linsin.blogspot.com/2011/08/alle-bra-er-syltet-solbr-rips-og-blabr.html

http://linsin.blogspot.com/2012/07/kanting-mellom-bedd-og-plen-i-hagen.html

Tirsdag, juli 31, 2012.

Lins Blogg: Helens frodige hageopplevelse

http://linsin.blogspot.com/2015/07/helens-frodige-hageopplevelse.html

Mandag, juli 20, 2015. Men ikke her. Det enest...Og den fa...

Fredag, juni 26, 2015.

Lins Blogg: Poteter - Hvordan dyrke poteter

http://linsin.blogspot.com/2011/01/poteter.html

Søndag, januar 23, 2011. Poteter - Hvordan dyrke poteter. Kjøttet finnes i tre farger. Poteter trenger 90-140 frostfrie dager fo...

Lins Blogg: Status i kjøkkenhagen og drivhuset!

http://linsin.blogspot.com/2015/07/status-i-kjkkenhagen-og-drivhuset.html

Tirsdag, juli 28, 2015. Her må jeg ut å raide skogen før neste år for å finne noe høyere å klatre i.

Hard homeschool moments force me to ask myself hard questions. Why am I struggling through a particular subject with a particular child? Why am I teaching literature analysis to my children? Why does my daughter with dyslexia need grammar anyway? Why am I teaching her to read hard things? Why do we do what we do? Who do I want my homeschool graduate to be?
