Monday, March 8, 2010. Tonight it's time to enjoy some rain and a bit of thunder. It's comforting to hear that tonight. I haven't heard a thundersto. Rm in a while. Made tonight more fun by making some cupcakes. Marlo is hanging out at my feet. Love a good puppy. Cheesy, non-committal TV shows. Early night of pajama wearing. If only Patty Griffin were here to serenade us. Great song - semi weird video.eh. Photo by open.salon.com. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A Cup of Jo.

growing freely.: easter weekend.
http://growingfreely.blogspot.com/2010/04/easter-weekend.html
Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Back to work I go. But, before I make another phone call.or organize some more things around my desk.or go back outside. I have to say what an absolutely wonderful weekend it has been. Luckily for me, I have had the opportunity to enjoy a four day retreat from work in celebration of Easter. [hold back your chanting and fist pumping] Sleeping in really is good for the soul. As well as taking the day at your own pace, reading what you want, taking. I really liked it. Met up with som...

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Here it is again. Fall. Gotta love it.the air; the colder temperatures; the falling leaves. As I've mentioned before, I love this time of year. Now, if we could just get all this without all the rain then we'd be set. I'm starting to feel that way about high school and college friends as well. I know that some of them will always be there if I need them, no matter the length of time that passes like the Perry's, Kade, Ken. I'm very excited for Friday! It's going to be awesome!

Sunday, April 18, 2010. Over the last few days, I've tried to come up with something meaningful to post here. It's turning out to be a lot easier said than done. Awhile back, I posted a list of little things that I was thankful for that I might/usually take for granted. Some of these might be repeats of the last entry, but that's okay. growing freely.: December 2009
http://growingfreely.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. On the Eve of a New Year. Tonight I'll be heading downtown to ring in the New Year with a concert by The Avett Brothers! I do not know their music well at all, but I'm sure after this shindig I'll become a fan. It's definitely in the genre of tunes I enjoy. So until I return, here's a sampling from their NPR: Tiny Desk Concert. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Enjoy! Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Can I just say. This year we went and watched the movie It's Complicated. I loved i...

Friday, February 5, 2010. For you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me". Just something I'm reading through right now. I heard this a little different tonight. I was thinking a little bit about what the line "your rod and your staff, they comfort me" means. This is just a quick wondering that I wanted to put down. I am totally a sheep right now. Which is fine. I have to be reminded of things over and over at this point. I need. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Well, here we go. i'...

growing freely.: November 2009
http://growingfreely.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 28, 2009. Well, I've been addicted to a particular group and song lately. I saw THE SWELL SEASON. In concert the other weekend with a good friend of mine. And of course, I prepared for said concert by listening to all of the music I have by them. If you have seen the movie Once. And have heard of the wonderful Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova then you understand why you can't not enjoy them. And why I can't get enough of their own rendition of Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic.".

Thursday, January 28, 2010. Haiti, Waterslides, Life and Matthew. Which got me thinking about some things. Would readily attest, there are some things to gain from such work. Primarily, if you can manage, you can find yourself working all by yourself. Just you, a scraper, and a stubborn piece of plastic coating. This in turn led me to let my mind wander as my fingers worked on auto-pilot. Scrape, scrape, scrape. So many life analogies. It doesn't go smoothly. And to me (and some others. 7 Nation will ris...
