Garden Variety Maritime Runner: 2011-2012
http://garden-variety-maritime-runner.blogspot.com/2012/09/2011-2012.html
Garden Variety Maritime Runner. Tuesday, September 11, 2012. How has my running progressed since my last blog entry? Last year was not great in my running world. I believe I had pertussis/whooping cough in the early autumn, interrupting my plans for a good marathon. Even prior to that, my running had really not improved over the summer, for some reason. In fact, I think it regressed. A quick photo recap of the last year follows. Carrying too much weight? The 20 miles I ran the day before? The Fall Classi...

Strewth's Training Blog: February Fun
http://baussmann2.blogspot.com/2015/02/february-fun_25.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Considerable time has passed and a lot of kilometres have been run since I last posted at the start of February! Ewen was the official photographer and he did a great job! Name for the spring on Hirta, Childa in Scotland). Sunday was the Vets Handicap but as I was on roster I only ran a short 6km run with Ewen before the event so as not to miss out entirely and to keep my legs moving. Pity it was so short lived. This is my easy week in theory and today's run was only 13km...

Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Loot from the barrel draw plus medal and lucky run number. With Margaret just before the start. Photo by Ewen. It was so cold early in the morning of the Canberra Running Club's Half Marathon on Sunday. In fact it was minus 4 degrees when I was eating breakfast and wondering how many layers to wear! I selected a singlet and shorts with a long sleeved top and gloves to be removed at the 4km mark. How lucky am I! Distance: 21.1km (plus 1km warm up). Average pace per km: 5:56. I had s...

Strewth's Training Blog: June 2013
http://baussmann2.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 14, 2013. On Thursday all sportsgrounds were closed due to the recent steady rain. I worked until 2pm when I met Ewen for a coffee catch up before driving home to take Teddy out with me for my run. I was lucky in my timing as we avoided the rain. It was a good run and we both enjoyed it. Tomorrow the plan is to run a longer run incorporating the Parkrun. Fingers crossed the weather isn't too unkind. Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Teddy ready for his run. I made it to Speedygeese at Dickson Oval by ...

Stuff about iron deficiency. Sunday, May 17, 2015. A little bit of training. When I first moved to Canberra, I joined the. The sessions so far have been long intervals. All the sessions I've been able to attend have been 800m intervals with a 400m jog recovery. However, other interval lengths have been 1000m and 1200m. I think I'm glad I missed those sessions! Mmm work those glutes. It is interesting to note speedygeoff also has issues with overworked muscles as mentioned in his blog today. Oh, hi there.

Love2Run Canada: November 2009
http://love2runcanada.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
I've been a runner forever, mostly was just a few miles a week to keep in shape, but then discovered longer distance running. Now doing 2-3 marathons per year with Boston as the main event for the last 9 consecutive years. Hope to use this blog to inspire myself and communicate with others of a similiar bent. Sunday, November 22, 2009. First, I was taken entirely and totally out of context by Andrew. Re: Mile 7 comment. My wife wore me out yesterday.". Re: Mile 8.5 comment. Re: Mile 11.5 comment.
