I got box hair dye from the store. or should i use the lightening kit they sell with the pink hair dye? I dont want it all pink, just the under side and some streaks. Go to the salon and get it lightened as light as they can go, this will help with damage because if you lighten it with the lightener that comes with the pink hair dye it's going to do some major unnecessary damage. Colorful wigs and temporary sprays- where the color can be brushed or washed out, would satisfy your desire for fun hair without jeopardizing your employment.
