Half A Dozen 4 Me: May 2010
http://halfadozen4me.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Half A Dozen 4 Me. Updates and Stories about my family. Sunday, May 9, 2010. Jonathan went to China for 2 weeks with his work and I decided it was time to tackle a few more projects around the house. It's really fun and keeps me from missing him so much. So here is my sectional before:. Posted by Half A Dozen 4 Me. My desk upside down. I had to take the top off to carry it down the stairs, it's so heavy. Desk feet, handles, both new and old and the hardware. A little crowded, but I like being side by side.
Half A Dozen 4 Me: Jack's 7th Birthday
http://halfadozen4me.blogspot.com/2010/08/jacks-7th-birthday.html
Half A Dozen 4 Me. Updates and Stories about my family. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. We celebrated Jack's 7th Birthday and as usual, the other kids get to pick out a gift for him at the $1 store, this time we went to Target's $1 spot and scored with items that we knew he would love. The fun part is eating the cone right? We had to peel the cone off the cupcake, it was such a mess. Next time we are going to try regular ice cream cones. Target practice with his new Nerf Gun and Army Gear. The Love Of My Life.
Half A Dozen 4 Me: March 2009
http://halfadozen4me.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Half A Dozen 4 Me. Updates and Stories about my family. Friday, March 27, 2009. The girls had their first sewing lesson. We picked out a pattern for their American Girl dolls. Each one bought fabric on the clearance rack and we set out to make these dresses. This is the pattern we chose. Next, we laid out the fabric, did our pinning and then cutting the pieces. On to sewing our pieces together. All done. I think this was not an easy to piece to start with, but I think they did a great job. Madeline bough...
Half A Dozen 4 Me: April 2010
http://halfadozen4me.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Half A Dozen 4 Me. Updates and Stories about my family. Sunday, April 4, 2010. Poor Ellie has some thin hair and we just trimmed it up a bit, but Madeline and Haleigh have lots of thick hair. They collected the hair and played with it, so weird. Then, they put it on their bald baby and it looked so funny. It totally looked like Donald Trump's hair. Playing with their hair pieces and creating a toupee for the baby doll. Posted by Half A Dozen 4 Me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Love Of My Life.

Kelly and Wyatt are our next door neighbors and my best friends. We had picnic in the gardens. Even Lucy got to come. We love to visit the koi fish pond. 8220;Suaviter in modo, fortiter in re”. Archive for November, 2010. November 30, 2010. Thanksgiving this year was long anticipated by Susannah. It was the first time we had to tell her every day for a week that this was not the day we were going to see Mee-Maw and Paw Paw. She eventually started saying, “Go see Mee-Maw Paw-Paw? No…not this week.”. When we finally arrived she was super excited. Having your very own playground for five days is definitely Susannah’s idea of a good time. November 22, 2010.

8220;Suaviter in modo, fortiter in re”. Archive for December, 2010. December 30, 2010. When we arrived home from our Christmas travels a stack of mail was there to greet us. What fun! I’m so glad not everyone has given up the Christmas card tradition. Do you still send Christmas cards? I love the tradition of sending family photos and update letters. Thank you to everyone who sent us a card. We truly loved hearing from you and seeing your faces this Christmas. Christmas with MeeMaw and PawPaw. It is so m...

8220;Suaviter in modo, fortiter in re”. Archive for July, 2011. July 4, 2011. Troy’s boss generously shares his lake house with each of his employees one weekend each summer. Last year, Troy and I took a much needed get-a-way and Susannah stayed home with Lala and Papa. This year we were excited to take her with us! On Sunday we headed to a place marked “Sandy Beach” on the map. We took our shovel and pail and were ready for some sand castles! We did have time to build a few sandcastles. We’re head...

8220;Suaviter in modo, fortiter in re”. Archive for March, 2011. March 30, 2011. Just after our sunny 85 degree weather at the arboretum, the temperature dropped drastically and we got rain. Susannah absolutely loves umbrellas. 8221; She hugged Lucy and then inspected her closely. Her little tutu was nicely fluffed and not flattened upward and her fur was so soft and white. She looked at me suspiciously and said, “Where’s the other Lucy? We chose not to pay for this car to “move” since it see...We were s...

8220;Suaviter in modo, fortiter in re”. Archive for April, 2011. He is Risen, Indeed! April 30, 2011. What’s not to love about Easter Sunday? Sugar first thing in the morning! Susannah was excited to wear her bunny dress (also called her Belle dress, since it is yellow). She also wore her biggest bow ever. I thoroughly enjoyed the brass quintet, organ and timpani as well as singing “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” with about 5000 people. What a blessed day! April 30, 2011. 8221; Who can resist that?

the six of us...supersized
The six of us.supersized. Wednesday, January 06, 2010. A few nights ago we were at my parents house for dinner. They are still moving in, carrying boxes up and down stairs, and sorting rooms. Justin was lugging some heavy loads up to the attic when a brief but beautiful conversation occurred between my mom and Ethan. Mom: "Justin, I'm so sorry you have to get home from work, come over here, and start working again. I know you must be tired.". Mom: "It's what we all should have, isn't it? I want them to l...

Half A Dozen Arrows
Half A Dozen Arrows. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them." Psalm 127:4. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Considering a Future Career. For my future career, I am thinking about becoming a vet. I am not sure if I want to be one, but I am thinking about it. So I decided I would like to see what a day in the life of a vet is like, and my mother phoned the vet and arranged to spend a day with him. Next up was a dog called Blackie...

The Hunter Family
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Preston's funny of the day upon seeing the sign at his school that read "Drug Free", "Mom, look there is the sign for Red Ribbon Week, it says "Free Drugs"." I said, "Oh No, it says Drug Free." To which he replied."Mom why does it say Drugs Free? Drugs are bad." They had an assembly and being a kindergartener, I think most of it registered but not all." :-). Preston's funny for the day. "Mom, if you wanted me to stay a baby, then you shouldn't have fed me.". Preston just brou...
