HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe: INKY STILL LIFE
http://harmoniousjosh.blogspot.com/2007/10/inky-still-life.html
HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe. ART FOR SALE HERE. Saturday, October 06, 2007. If this sells at the starting bid price, it will pay for the art class I painted it in. If it sells for more, my teacher will want a cut. So you're going to have to bid really high if I'm going to make any profit. Remember, I have a cute puppy who needs me to pay for her dog food. No pressure. I just don't want the poor dog to go hungry. Click this VERY SENTENCE. Bird nerds, click here. View my complete profile.

HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe. ART FOR SALE HERE. Wednesday, October 03, 2007. I for one am strongly against the commercialization of Halloween. It's just wrong that such a holiday is now a marketing opportunity to hawk one's wares. I blame the evil corporations for sucking the life out of Halloween, and life itself. Anyway, buy my Halloween card. We just bought a fence for the yard, well, actually, it's for the dog, but whatever, we're poor. Click this VERY SENTENCE. Bird nerds, click here.
HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe: DUDE'S HEAD #5,012
http://harmoniousjosh.blogspot.com/2007/09/dudes-head-5012.html
HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe. ART FOR SALE HERE. Monday, September 24, 2007. DUDE'S HEAD #5,012. Seriously, how many dude's heads can I paint? A lot, I guess. I went with three colors on this one, with a little bit of black. No ink, just paint. I wanted to get the 3-Dness right. A lot of my faces lately have taken on a Roman quality; not sure why. So with that in mind, I bring you:. There once was a Roman named Titus. Who rudely would never invite us. To go to his parties. Bird nerds, click here.

HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe: NUTHATCH
http://harmoniousjosh.blogspot.com/2007/09/nuthatch.html
HarmoniousJosh - art by Josh Sutcliffe. ART FOR SALE HERE. Sunday, September 30, 2007. Ah, the nuthatch. I finally saw one in our new yard this morning. Our new, expensive yard. I heard their distinctive call first, of course. They sound like some kind of a dog-squeeky toy. The nuthatch is the clown of birds. With a call too goofy for words. They honk and they squeek. With bugs in their cheek. A treat for bird watching nerds. Click this VERY SENTENCE. Bird nerds, click here. Totally nice work, Josh!

Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Suet Cakes - The Real McCoy. I put "suet" in quotations because obviously there is no suet in the recipe. True suet cakes would be made with rendered beef suet (fat), but how many of you know of a grocery store that has beef suet in the meat case? I'm thinking, this isn't good, what to do now, when I thought of beef suet. So I asked him if they had any in the back. He says that as they trim the meat, they toss it in the garbage, but he would go back and check. Sur...This is w...

Birdscapes: Touching Base
http://birdscapes.blogspot.com/2010/04/touching-base.html
Thursday, April 8, 2010. Oh my, it's been almost three months since I've posted. It has been a busy three months: took a new job, moved out of state, bought a new house, still trying to sell my St Louis house. Anyone out there interested in a well-located, updated 3BR/2.5ba house with plenty of birds that visit feeders? I'll leave it at that for now. I'm looking forward to posting again about the birds and gardening once things settle down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Birds of St. Louis.

Sunday, August 16, 2009. I was sitting on the patio last week as the sun was starting to set. I saw what I thought was a house finch on the neighbor's fence, but something about it told me it was different. I put the bins on it and realized it was. Different. It sat on the fence and would fly up to catch bugs over and over. Then it flew to the overhead lines and sat there with its mouth wide open . guess the bugs were flying right into its mouth! For the iPhone. I love it! 101 on my life list. So after s...

Monday, April 27, 2009. I had business out of the office early this afternoon so I thought, what the heck, I'll just take the entire afternoon off and look for it after my meeting. It had been raining off and on all day, but I really wanted to see one to add to my life list so I took a chance. I can't wait to go back on a decent sunny day with my good camera. Thank you, Angel! Birdscapes: December 2009
http://birdscapes.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 27, 2009. Bird visits were still off this weekend for PFW. I was only in town a short while the first day of the count and absolutely no birds were at the feeders. It snowed early Sunday morning, yet the number of birds was still off. Conspicuously missing were the Chickadees, Titmice, Downy WP, and House Finches. A very quick visit from the Mockingbird was a pleasant surprise. Checklist for FeederWatch Missouri Birds. 7 (0 with eye disease). Links to this post. Tuesday, December 22, 2009.

Sunday, January 17, 2010. Highlight this PFW Count: White-Breasted Nuthatch. The little fellow hasn't shown up much at all for the past few weeks, PFW count or regular days. So I was thrilled to see him/her today coming back time and time again to the BOSS and Suet feeders. Must be stashing for potentially harsh weather conditions to come. 5 (0 with eye disease). 9 (0 with eye disease). Total Species / Individuals. Links to this post. Sunday, January 10, 2010.
