As I See It: June 2011
http://debsperspective.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
As I See It. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. While I am typically quite satisfied with my state of being in the world, yesterday, I was reading a favorite blog of mine, and it got me thinking that maybe I shouldn't be so content. The blog is called. It's a yoga blog written by Kristin Shepherd. Her posts are usually quite short, but they always make me think. The post I'm referring to here was titled. Yoga and Energy Management. Do I have a strong sense of my own power or am I afraid of life? Wuvvvv, twoooo wuvvv.

Monday, January 6, 2014. Memories, Wishes, and Goals (Kids Edition). Happy New Year, everyone! To kick off 2014 in aftercare, I made a simple handout for the kids to do today. Their responses were great. Some went the thoughtful route. Some decided to be a little more lighthearted. Some decided to make sure they made my heart smile. Here's a little snapshot into the best of 2013 and what's ahead in 2014:. The two best things that happened to me in 2013:. Having a bunch of fun. I went to Boston. As for me...

Beautiful Things: November 2014
http://declaringhisglory.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 6, 2014. Hello again, old friends. I could make excuses like, "I'm a first year teacher and went grocery shopping for the first time in a month last week, unpacked my bedroom after living in my apartment for two months, and feel like I can breathe for the first time since August," but we'll just go with. I slacked in blogger world. So what brought me back to this space, to this world? We prayed through the first days of chemo and the many days thereafter. We prayed through big surg...

Beautiful Things: Why I Love Teaching Littles
http://declaringhisglory.blogspot.com/2014/02/why-i-love-teaching-littles.html
Sunday, February 16, 2014. Why I Love Teaching Littles. Why do I love teaching? And why do I love teaching the little ones? There are so many reasons, but here are just a few:. Because oh, the potential. Because I want them to fall in love with learning and thinking deeply. Can you tell me more about that? He responded, "Yeah, 200/200=1." And so I said, "That's awesome! But do you know why 200/200 is 1? Early exposure to books, writing, math concepts, science, and community studies through authentic expe...

As I See It: Max
http://debsperspective.blogspot.com/2011/03/max.html
As I See It. Friday, March 11, 2011. The good news - Max responded to the new medication within the first 24 hours, and after 3 days, he was back to himself. While this story has a happy ending, the past 2 weeks have been a cruel reminder that we will not have Max forever. So, this morning, I'm appreciating him for all the joy he brings to our lives everyday, even as he, so persistently, reminds me that it's time for Cheerios! March 13, 2011 at 9:56 AM. As I See It: March 2011
http://debsperspective.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
As I See It. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Last week, the fifth grade students were MAP testing in the computer lab, so I was in Ms. W's classroom talking with my four students who were assigned to her class for the week. At lunch time, four students who were assigned to another classroom burst into Ms. W's room (Ms. W's room had become somewhat of a home base for the whole group of pre-service teachers). How could the environment be changed to better support the learners in that classroom? Wuvvvv, twoooo wuvvv.

almost a yellow belt: Status Update
http://almostayellowbelt.blogspot.com/2013/01/status-update.html
Almost a yellow belt. Sunday, January 13, 2013. I'm not quite sure what that means, but I know that I'm working on getting my priorities in order in a few ways right now to get rid of the time swallowing pointlessness clutter. I am working to make my use of time more purposeful. I think that's a thing to shoot for.purpose. So, I'll go with it, and see where it takes me. Then I did (because I'm dealing with priorities.) some long overdue blog reading. I read my friend Chris' blog. When youre in it? A good...
