Tuesday, September 29, 2009. A friend of mine who lives in NYC was telling me that she was going to Felidia. One of Lydia Bastianich's restaurants in New York, for a family celebration. I always like to give a look to. Checking on the online menu, an antipasto caught my eye: Le Barbabietole, marinated beets, goat cheese, peach, watercress, balsamic vinaigrette. https://doctoringdancinganddelectables.wordpress.com/2009/01/01/cheesy-poofs
Doctoring, Dancing, and Delectables. Musings of a Medical Student. This month, Recipes to Rivals made Cheesy-Poofs! Technically, they’re called Gougères, but I find Cheesy-Poofs to be much easier and more fun to say. Shhhhhh, don’t tell my french-speaking boyfriend! The theme was appetizers, and we have three options, of which we had to make two. I made Cheesy-Poofs and a blue cheese, walnut, and pear crostini. Both were cheesy, savory, and delicious. First, the Cheesy-Poofs:. Makes about 4 dozen gougères.

http://thecastironkitchen.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
The Cast Iron Kitchen. Thursday, September 17, 2009. Since I had so much fun with The Daring Baker's challenge that I did, I signed up for The Daring Cooks too. :) I needed something else in my schedule. LOL. I'm running late posting here, it was supposed to be on the 14th - but with all the rain we've had, a limb broke off a tree and knocked our power out that day, and we didn't get it back until late Tuesday night. Yesterday was full of church activities after work, so yes, I'm dragging in here late.
