He was covered in mud and sand from the wet and dirty sandbags we were passing (especially from cradling them against his body after his hands couldn't take any more). I pushed back a little before we agreed to call it a night. Truth be told, I was exhausted too. We use language like "get connected," "have fellowship," "join," "belong," etc. There are a lot of other ways to have community. I have a couple hundred friends on Facebook.
