Make sure you boil sea sponges often because hermit crabs also eat sea sponges. Also putting plastic wrap before you put a lid on the top will help to keep more humidity on the cage.

Saturday, May 29, 2010. Insects Everywhere and Everyday :-). I found a Tiger Swallow Tail Butterfly. They were all very friendly, they let me get. This is a Black Swallow Tail. Look at the spot at the bottom, it looks like a Panda face! Right there on the white little flower is a HoneyBee pollinating. I found a bunch of them and a Yellow Jacket. 08 Aug 2011 02:05pm. Awwwwwww I was hoping for an active hermie community! But at least I have somewhere to post for now. Hehe. I was roaming West Ed Mall for the first time ever, and these little guys won my heart when I passed by the kiosk. It wasn't until I got home that I did some solid research and discovered how bad painted shells are and that they require a proper tank to live in, not the plastic critter carrier they came in.
