Faith for the Journey: March 2010
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Faith for the Journey. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Driving Miss Daisy Home. Meet our newest family member: Daisy. She is a lab/beagle mix, about 3 months old, and cute as can be. She was found in our county along the side of the road with two sisters (dumped no doubt) and brought to the humane society. We had hoped to get a younger pup, but after 12 hours with her, she is little enough! And it feels like a proper home now, being greeted with a tail wag just for stepping out the door. Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Faith for the Journey: August 2010
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Faith for the Journey. Sunday, August 29, 2010. 4 things we love about Cora. Cora loves to read books with us and by herself. She is so tiny when she curls up on our laps for a story. Cora can play rough superheros with Sam, tractors with Eli, farming with Uncle David, or princesses with her girl friends. She is equal parts tom boy and girly girl. Cora imitates us with her words and actions, but adds her own personality too. She is discovering who God made her to be. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORA LYNN! So we invit...

Faith for the Journey: October 2009
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Faith for the Journey. Friday, October 30, 2009. Sam has recently been learning the fruits of the Spirit, which is great because I get to learn them too. I missed out on a lot of Bible learning growing up, so now I get to do it with him. We recite the fruits of the Spirit each day, and now when I say them I think of specific ways to show each fruit to my kids. That brings me to another tale.Cora cut her own hair for the first time. Actually, she evened it up from the time dad cut gum out! I have lots of ...

Faith for the Journey: June 2010
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Faith for the Journey. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Our VBS is history now, but as usual it had a lasting impact. Teaching the 4 and 5 year olds is so fun. They believe everything you say, and you never know what they are going to say:) Cora was in my class this year (she's almost 4). And Sam has moved out of my class, which seems unreal. And finally, a Bible illustration by Sam. He and Cora were in the backyard eating sunflower seeds (they eat the hull too, is that bad? Thursday, June 17, 2010. Yesterday Unc...

Faith for the Journey: May 2010
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Faith for the Journey. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. It is hot, humid, and hay is ready. We swam in the farm pond yesterday, and it was neat to see how Sam and Cora have grown since last swimming season. They are braver.except Sam kept asking about snapping turtles. I just told him, yes they are in here and always have been. Here is what happens when Eli gets a bucket of water. He sticks his head right down in it, regardless of depth. He loves water in his face. It is TOO FUNNY! Monday, May 24, 2010. Cora's eye...

Faith for the Journey. Saturday, September 25, 2010. The following is an article written about adoption, and it rings very true to our family's heart. Sunday, September 19, 2010. Meet Mr. Gourd Heads. What do you do with over 100 mini gourds? Saturday, September 18, 2010. Dandy went to the Farm Fair last week. Farm Fair is a day sponsored by local agriculture groups when all county fourth graders come and rotate through different stations to learn how agriculture affects them. Faith for the Journey: February 2010
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Faith for the Journey. Thursday, February 11, 2010. Ausbrooks Rule of Cleanliness. For every cleaning action there is a worse and opposite dirty action. A recently mopped bathroom floor will soon be peed on. (Same principle applies to washed bedsheets). An obscure worksheet thrown in the trash without being "hidden" will be found by the author, who will give you an accusing and pitiful look. Now you can throw nothing away. If a rug is shook out, someone will come in the door who was just in the hayloft.

Faith for the Journey: Farm Fair
http://ausbrooksfamily.blogspot.com/2010/09/farm-fair.html
Faith for the Journey. Saturday, September 18, 2010. Dandy went to the Farm Fair last week. Farm Fair is a day sponsored by local agriculture groups when all county fourth graders come and rotate through different stations to learn how agriculture affects them. Some of the other stations were on goats, dairy, beekeeping, poultry, 4-wheeler safety, 4-H, the food pyramid, and more. The boy in the white shirt was a preschool student of mine. I got to see 4 of my former students.). Wow, I had no clue! Our fa...
