The Chick-lets...: May 2012
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 12, 2012. Look what we made! A 4th of July Wreath :). This picture is way worse than I thought it was. Oh well. Isn't it so cute? I really can't wait to get a hanger thingy [yes, that is the technical term] for it and put it on our front door. My mom found the idea on Pinterest [oh that lovely awful time wasting machine.] so we made them! One for me and one for her. Posted by Lindy Michelle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Look what we made! The Chick-lets...: Banana Cupcakes
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012/08/banana-cupcakes.html
Wednesday, August 29, 2012. So, Cameron usually LOVES bananas. We tend to cruise through them and run out in a few days. Every once in a while, he decides that he doesn't ever want to eat them again and they sit on the counter until I realize they're brown and gross and I'm too lazy to do anything with them. This time, I decided to be a good wife and use them. Not for anything healthy, but still. Yay for not wasting! Without further delay, I present: Banana Cupcakes. Lightly adapted from "Hello, Cupcake!

The Chick-lets...: Jewelry Box Rescue
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012/07/jewelry-box-rescue.html
Sunday, July 15, 2012. My latest project was a bit unplanned, but turned out great! My family and I were wandering a local thrift store (DI) and I came across this beautiful jewelry box. It looked pretty beat up, but I figured I could fix it with a little soap and paint. After removing the original stained, pink felt and cardboard I made this jewelry box my own. All it took was some fabric and ribbon, a shoe box, fabric backing, and a small paper mache box. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Chick-lets...: October 2012
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 29, 2012. My sister, Hillary, is a genius with a crochet hook. She has a little bit of an obsession with yarn, and for good reason. She makes amazing, beautiful, and comfortable things out of it. She and I were talking one day, and decided that it would be really neat if we could donate a whole bunch of crocheted hats to the Oncology Unit at Primary Childrens Medical Center, a place that is close to. Our hearts and our family. Thankfully, you can help! In children and adult sizes.

The Chick-lets...: canvas + paint = joy
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012/07/canvas-paint-joy.html
Thursday, July 19, 2012. Canvas paint = joy. Yesterday, as I was sitting home alone [my cute husband was at work], I decided to have a crafty day. I'd seen these cute things on Pinterest. And decided to make some of my own. I wasn't really sure how they would turn out and I was lazy and didn't take pictures along the way. 1 buy paint, letters, and canvas. 2 stick letters to canvas to say what you want it to. 3 paint over the whole canvas. i applied 2-3 coats because i wanted it to be a solid color.

Someone who had painted their nails like tennis shoes and wanted to try it. You'll need to be extra steady with the nail polish for this, but its pretty cute. First, i painted her whole nail. she wanted them multiple colors. This made it easier for step 3. Posted by Lindy Michelle.

The Chick-lets...: Book Review: Within the Dark Hills
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012/06/book-review-within-dark-hills.html
Thursday, June 7, 2012. Book Review: Within the Dark Hills. For me summer means reading and lots of it! If you're looking for a good, clean, historical romance I would highly recommend Within the Dark Hills by Sian Ann Bessey. I've read a few books by Sian Ann Bessey and I've loved all of them. But it's been awhile since she published her last one, so when I saw that she had a new book out I knew I had to read it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Book Review: Within the Dark Hills.

The Chick-lets...: March 2012
http://chick-lets.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 9, 2012. I've recently decided to be more healthy (at least a little bit) about what I eat. Today I worked on that goal by making semi-healthy treats. I started with frozen yogurt bites. I saw this on pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. Squeeze small globs on yogurt onto the aluminum foil until you've emptied the bag. Place the cookie sheet with the yogurt on it in the freezer. Let it freeze for about an hour. Enjoy! Or put in a baggy to save for later). Sunday, March 4, 2012. Rinse an...
