香港歷史,小故事,趣事,習俗,文化,傳說. 漢華中學創辦於1945年，位於西環青蓮台。由一批大學畢業生立志培育下代，使中國富強而創辦。學校富有較深的國家色彩，並堅持以母語教學，使學生的中文水平頗高。同時也強調「透過學校教育，讓學生對祖國有正確的認識」. 初期，學校只有小一至中一，共有學生120名。之後學生不斷增多，到1965年新校舍落成後，更增至1600人。期間，學校相繼成立學生自治會、家長教師聯誼會及校友會，而且從1952年開始更參加香港中學會考，翌年還註冊為非牟利性質的有限公司。 到1968年，學校開辦兩所分校後，使該校發展達至高峰。之後兩所分校於1982年停辦。1986年起，該校便申請轉為津貼中學，至1991年加入港府的「直接資助計劃」，獲得很多資源，使校舍設備有了更大的改善。 資料來源: 梁炳華， 中西區風物志 ，增訂版，中西區臨時區議會，1999年7月31日。 訂閱： 張貼留言 (Atom). 香港歷史,小故事,趣事,習俗,文化,傳說. 西貢大廟是香港歷史最悠久的天后廟，故被稱呼為大廟。該廟屬於三開間單進設計，大殿供奉天后娘娘，右偏殿則有一座銅鐘及龍床。廟文物極為豐富：廟門額「天后古廟」為光緒三年（公元1877年）陳崇韜題寫，正殿內有嘉慶九年（公元1804年）鐵鑄香爐及石碑一座。其大門右之銅鐘為道光廿年（公元1840年）所鑄。大廟對開的水域成為佛堂門，因為水道南北各有一座廟。南佛堂應該比北佛堂早興建。 北佛堂旁的石刻於南宋咸淳甲戌年間，即1274年，為香港最早有紀年的刻石，記載鹽官嚴益彰與祖籍福州的朋友何天覺到南北佛堂門遊覽的事蹟，以及這處兩所廟宇的歷史。根據他們考證所得，宋真宗大中祥符五年（1012年）已經建有南佛堂石塔。 崇禎三年（公元一六三○年），佛堂門復遭海盜大肆洗劫。參將陳拱不幸討賊陣亡。《新安縣志卷之十二‧下卷》記載如下：. 海盜李魁奇率領一百多艘戰船浩浩蕩蕩地駛入佛堂門，企圖登岸劫掠。當時參將陳拱聞訊，立即調動戰船討賊，雙方發生海戰。這役，官兵擊敗海盜，奪得戰船七艘。 65306;宗族的聯合與分歧：竹園蒲崗林氏編修族譜原因探微）. 香港歷史,小故事,趣事,習俗,文化,傳說. 如果在街上，聽到叮叮叮叮。那就是叮叮糖！叮叮糖本身為一大塊通常帶有芝麻和薑味的麥芽糖。因為材料如此，所以基本上是薑糖，但質地堅硬，香甜辛辣，十分有特色。 叮叮糖是香港的一種非常傳統的糖果。它的歷史非常悠久，大概有一百多年，相傳由廣東傳入，到了60年代才在香港流行。其實，叮叮糖並不是只有香港人及廣東人會吃。韓國人也會在考試日吃叮叮糖，希望考試成功。真估計不到叮叮糖早已傳入韓國。 叮叮糖的製作並不是很複雜。首先需要把麥芽糖煮溶，加入其他材料後，不斷攪拌。當未完全凝固前，放在鐵枝拉成糖膠。最後把條狀糖膠綑綁成盤狀。 街邊小販在售賣叮叮糖時，需要從鋅盆中鑿碎。由於鑿碎過程中會發出叮叮噹噹的聲響，叮叮糖因而得名。現在香港有些小販為了迎合年輕人口味，更會製作椰子味、朱古力味、芒果味、香芋味和草苺味的叮叮糖。 Links to this post. 65288;參考：中西區地方掌故、趣談香港街道、中西區文物徑、細說民國創立）. 香港歷史,小故事,趣事,習俗,文化,傳說. 有近百年歷史的港島大潭篤水塘，與附近21項水利設施均被列為法定古蹟。香港大學聯同技術潛水員，去年到大潭篤水塘一帶探索，潛入一個有百年歷史的海邊古井，窺探當年大潭篤水塘選址的秘密。研究人員驚歎當年建井用料及手工之精細，令這些古井經歷百年風吹雨打，至今屹立不倒。 香港大學聯同香港水下考古總會和香港技術潛水總會，於去年10月開始，在大潭篤水塘對開海面，對大潭港沿岸原有的6口約建於1902至1904年間的古井展開研究，其中兩口於多年前被運英泥船撞毁。研究人員相信，該批古井當年是用作勘探大潭港地質，了解該處是否適合興建大潭篤水塘水壩。 香港大潭港的大潭篤水塘於1912年興建，至今已有百年歷史。大潭篤水塘位於今天大潭篤村後面，不遠處是舊日礦場土地灣村。據當地村民所說，100年前的大潭篤村本在今天大潭篤水塘的位置。考查1914年的立法局會議紀錄，證實當年因興建大潭篤水塘共需遷移76名大潭篤村村民。當中鍾氏家族村民更被遷移至柴灣。 薄扶林水塘、大潭水塘群、黃泥涌水塘、九龍水塘、. 城門（ 銀禧） 水塘和香港仔水塘的文物價值 (古蹟諮詢委員會). 這場風災發生於1874年9月2...
