Saturday, 21 August 2010. Lifestyle photo session in the country park. This morning I had the great Pleasure of working with family R. A local family whom had been rather disappointed with the images received from a studio session with another photographer. The image were not bad the family just didnt feel they captured true feelings and emotions. The studio images were also very posed making the family feel stiff and not at all relaxed. The idea of a lifestyle photo session is to use the great outside a...

Thursday, 24 October 2013. Cute As A Button. As I mentioned in my last post Buster had his room revamped. This summer, as a consequence we had a battered old Ikea chest of drawers going begging so I decided to give it a little makeover and use it for some much needed clothing storage in Missy's room. It really was looking a little orange so I gave it a coat of cream paint. And exchanged the rather masculine space rocket handles for some pretty pink Sass and Belle. Cute as a button! Everyone Else Is Normal. Silent Sunday #28 →. Things I discovered – August. 6 September, 2013. One of my favourite bloggers, Emily from Chatting with the Sky. Has a lovely blog hop linky that I like so much, I’ve decided to come up with a British version with a slightly different name. 1 Cucumber in G&T! When out at a lovely seafood restaurant, I was served a Gin and Tonic with a slice of cucumber instead of lemon. At first I thought “Hang on, is that cucumber in there? Where’s the lemon? Is similar to h...

A landscape painter based in Cambridgeshire. Review of the last few weeks. October 15, 2016. From the Cambridge Open Studios. Event I got a commission to paint a Lavender Farm near Hitchen – yes near Hitchen not Norfolk see http:/ www.hitchinlavender.com/. As it was the view I was asked to do had scope for a painting. Spend a few mornings at the Pike and Eel Marina. Sketching boat so they actually sit on the water. This last one is a good record of what I saw,but a rather dull composition! August 21, 2016.

Diary of a Lavender Farmer: Cuckoo spit / Espuma de la Prosapia bicincta
http://lavenderfarmer.blogspot.com/2009/03/cuckoo-spit-is-froth-formed-by-young_18.html
Diary of a Lavender Farmer. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Cuckoo spit / Espuma de la Prosapia bicincta. Cuckoo spit is a froth formed by young frog hoppers (or spittlebugs). The lava primarily insulates the tiny bugs against the weather providing a kind of thermal control. On particularly fresh mornings our field is often covered with cuckoo spit as the Bugs fight the cold. Without the froth the bug would quickly dry up. The foam also serves as protection against predators and parasites. Cuckoo spit es una ...

Wednesday, 22 August 2012. Last week I took time out from the crazy world of knitting to visit. It was like stepping back in time. If you are in the area I would thoroughly recommend visiting, it was a complete bargain as the entrance fee also included picking a bag of lavender and 5 sunflowers! All in all a perfect day in the English countryside. Thursday, 2 August 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The new autumn/winter season has now been launch.
