It doesn't look like much "at rest", but when stretched out, you can really get a good idea of what the lace will look like when blocked. I might have nightmares about knitting with such fine "yarn". I was planning to continue working there part time for a while to help ease their pain, but the Utah legislature has a bill in the works that will (if passed) prevent me from working at the same agency for a year (even if it's only a couple of hours a week). Oh well, it'll be their loss, not mine. Should I tell people I live off my "boy toy"? Would blog about it...

Ok, I realized that no one has posted on this blog in an eternity, but I need closure people, so I am finally posting. that I have finished this sweater! It only took about a year and $200, but I did it. In the Reynolds Soft Linen and everything. I made several mods, including shortening the body and sleeves, and working the 'solid' stripes in regular stockinette instead of reverse. But who cares about all that! All I care about is that its DONE!

I used the same size for the lace and the rev st st and I found that all my puffiness blocked out. You might want to block a swatch before you change needle sizes. April 28, 2007 at 4:23 AM. I used a US9 for the lace panels.and a US7 for the rev st st panels.and had almost no puffy puckery bulges. Whatever you do.don't use bigger needles on the rev st st! I Love It, Yall.
