The one in which you balance the checkbook of your life and feel you're on overdraft. The one that brings a new F word: FORTY. Like forty years ago, I begin this day at midnight, to the sound of my mother's voice, although I must say that this time is much more comfortable and less painful for her, and I am able to carry a conversation with some more fluidity than the day we first met!
