Friday, August 5, 2011. I've been spending a lot of time with an old friend, Heat-n-Bond. I got the idea {from several blogs} to make a fabric map of the US. The whole process was a major pain. I didn't realize how much I love the land of the setting sun until I had to cut out all those tiny eastern states. So how do you create this fabrilicious piece of geography art? If you decide to tackle this project, be prepared to feel extremely frustrated. Now she has a craft corner in my woman cave! Hello, My Na...

Step 1: Add 1" to the measurements of the pillow form. Step 2: Cut fabric. Step 3: Sew the two fabrics together. Step 1: Remove lampshade from the base. Step 4: Usi...

Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Penny Patch: Work in Progress. When I first saw Rachel's Penny Patch quilt and that she was offering a quilt along. I was very excited. I loved the original quilt (pictured below) and the coincidentally the colors she chose for the QAL were the same ones I had in mind when I thought of making my own :). I quickly purchased fabric, of course, the easy and fun part! Hmm It looked like nothing but a hot mess to me. Does anyone else agree? And then . . . I sewed it all up! Since ...
