Aqua Reef Studios | the Quilt or Stitch Blog: Quilted Halloween Table Runner

http://quiltorstitch.blogspot.com/2014/10/quilted-halloween-table-runner.html

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Quilted Halloween Table Runner. My friend Barbara and I had a sewing day where we made Halloween tablerunners. It was so much fun! This was very simple to make. I used one charm pack and made two table runners from them. Those 5" squares go a long way! I used the fabric line The Boo Crew by Moda. I had some other fabric yardage for the borders. I made one for me and one for my mom. The fabric for the back is so cool, the skeletons glow in the dark! Love the fabric on the back!

Aqua Reef Studios | the Quilt or Stitch Blog: Tagalong Schnibbles

http://quiltorstitch.blogspot.com/2010/04/tagalong-schnibbles.html

Monday, April 19, 2010. Pretty double rainbow last week*. How was your weekend? We had a really nice one. The weather was so gorgeous on Sunday, we went for a long bike ride with the kids. On Saturday I got a lot of sewing done, and had friends over for dinner. I am sad it is over. So, my weekend plans were to get two quilts quilted right? Wrong I got my Schnibbles Tagalong quilted and bound, and Pint Sized basted, that is it. I should not be so hard on myself, I did pretty good considering right? She is...

Aqua Reef Studios | the Quilt or Stitch Blog: Halloween Joy Luck!

http://quiltorstitch.blogspot.com/2010/10/halloween-joy-luck.html

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. The weather is changing, fall is here! It’s beautiful outside right now. I love the leaves turning a bright orange or dark red, it’s amazing. I was lucky this past weekend and was able to attend one of my very best friend’s wedding in Montana. Catherine and I go way back, to the 9. So, this past weekend was great. In between wedding photos, checking out the flowers and attending dinners, I was able to go to a quilt shop. Of course I wouldn’t miss out on some sho...In Billings...

Aqua Reef Studios | the Quilt or Stitch Blog: Hydrangea Quilt: Part Two

http://quiltorstitch.blogspot.com/2015/03/hydrangea-quilt-part-two.html

Saturday, March 07, 2015. Hydrangea Quilt: Part Two. Back in 2010 I made a quilt for Nan, my wonderful daycare provider. She loved hydrangeas. Here is the original one: Hydrangea Garden Quilt. I had an inquiry to make another one as a wedding gift. So, we used the same pattern and came up with colors that matched the wedding. I really enjoyed using that pattern again. I tried some new free motion quilting techniques on this one, it was so fun! It's always fun to revisit patterns and make them new again.

I know most marriages don’t start out with the “for now” bit, but I’m guessing maybe some of them do: the “for now” is mumbled under breath and hopefully out of earshot – à la Jeremy Clarkson. But I wouldn’t put too much store by a marriage that starts out thus. May 1, 2014. And that’s it right there; that’s the problem, the issue, the bad thing, the thing that ne...Sometimes...

The Magic of Printing. This video demonstrates the screen printing method that we use in printing our beauteous table linens. See the magic as each screen layers a new color on. See the symmetry and balance exhibited by two well paired printers, skilled in their craft. Cats in the Quiltorium

Tuesday, January 10, 2017. And sew it begins! I finished making all my 3" parts of my en provence. Quilt yesterday. I saved the easiest for last. I needed 41 more neutral four patches to make my roughly half sized version. Actually it will be pretty big, but I think I have wallspace for it. I am ready to assemble. But I got Clyded. I think he needs some play time because we left the cats for a few hours while running errands. That face, irresistible. Links to this post. Saturday, January 07, 2017. No tra...

Tuesday, May 5, 2015. When we had our first baby, it seemed like a long term quilt project was in order. Finding the perfect pattern took some time, but I eventually came to the place where a birthday signature quilt was born. On his first birthday, I found a cool font, printed out some numbers that were just under 5" tall and used hand applique to sew them onto background blocks. Every year a new block is sewn up and well wishes are shared. A few tips and tricks:. Use a .05 or so sized Pigma pen. We mix...
