I was just catching up on the microlocal blogosphere and happily came across LenShare’s posting about FSA photographs. I then proceeded to search through the rest of our Library of Congress. From the safety and warmth of my own home. Found some gems. The structure on the left looks like an arcade! What I mean to say is, there’s a street there now. Pavement. Asphalt goodness. Dig the schoolgirl attire.

We thought a lot about garbage and urban areas while we were outside of Holyoke. It appeared that most cities had a plan that involved these things in the photo.
