Our family's adventures. We went camping August 3-5 at Crawford Notch Campground. With nine other families. What a blast! The kids had so much fun running around and playing with each other the entire team. Since there were so many of us, we took up a good area at the campsite and they were able to pretty much go where they wanted. The best part: we stayed in a cabin instead of a tent! Our family's adventures. My poor blog has been neglected for far too long. I am now on a mission to fix that! The posts will be short and sweet, otherwise I could be working on this until New Year’s. The Greater Derry Track Club held Fun Runs for the kids every week this summer at Londonderry High School. Each kid gets their own number and races are broken down by age and gender. We only made it twice this year, but the kids LOVED it! They have the kids stretch out and get warmed up before the races.

Our family's adventures. First Day of School. Sam was really excited to start 1st grade at South School. A few days before the start of school, the class lists are posted at the school. I find this a little odd. We always knew who our next teacher was on the last day of school. She found out she was in Mrs. Marquis’ class and had a bunch of friends from kindergarten joining her. Sara’s classroom placement came in the mail. It was down pouring the first day so I got very few pictures. First Day of School.

Our family's adventures. Sam’s first day of Kindergarten. After having the first day of school cancelled because of all of the power outages from Hurricane Irene, Sam had her first day of kindergarten at Moose Hill! She relented and we sat together on the way to school! She’s so independent! Waiting for the bus. Her seat-mate on her bus, Sara, is also in her class. They seem to have hit it off! Our family's adventures. We were only home for two days after camping before we took off again on Wednesday morning the 8th to start our trip to Myrtle Beach. We left a day and a half early this year so we can spend a day at Sesame Place. In Pennsylvania. We made it to PA by late afternoon and checked in at our hotel, which was right across the street from Sesame Place. The hotel was nice and had a good size pool. We all swam for a while and then went out for dinner. Ready for a fun day. Just for Fun (3).

Our family's adventures. I’ve thoroughly been enjoying my 3 day work weeks – Tuesday through Thursday, but 4th of July week I had to work Monday and Tuesday which gave me Wednesday the 4th through the following Monday off! It was like a mini stay-cation! We did a lot of swimming at the beach and friends’ pools. I don’t tend to take many pictures while all 3 kids are in the water, but I did work up the courage when we had Aunty Sue’s pool to ourselves. Sara has gotten brave and will now jump in by herself.
