About Hops and Hickory. What I'm Drinking (via Untappd). Friday, January 25, 2013. Review: Southern Tier Brewing Co. - Krampus (2012). 650 ml bottle, poured into a Belgain tulip. Deep, brassy gold. Piney hops and a warm, sweet honey malt. Hoppy, with strong pine notes. Honey sweetness. Very piney finish. Aggressive carbonation, a bit of a alcohol burn. Very good. Strong and hoppy with a good balance of sweet. Feels a bit stronger than nine percent, so you might want to pace yourself. Deep ruby / brown.

I stopped in to my favorite beer store on Friday only to be greeted with an awesome surprise. It turns out, Southern Tier. Beers have made their way into the NC market.
