Tea Novice: Golden Monkey
http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007/09/golden-monkey.html
Sunday, September 2, 2007. Before I begin, I will apologize to the lovers of black teas. I do not hate them, and I am not saying they are bad teas in the least. They're just not my favorites. However, I do enjoy a pot or three of my favorite black teas when, for example, I want to curl up with a good book. It seems a lot of people recommend having black teas (more breakfast blends though, or the main teas of breakfast belnds) with a bit of milk and sugar. Not me, though. I just don't have any (un...A lot...

Tea Novice: August 2007
http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Pu Qing Hao revisit. Today is a reminder, more to myself, of why I'd prefer 'Tea Novice' than a name implying more experience, knowledge, or anything else. When I first. Has recently tried this same tea. He described it as having fruity qualities. That makes perfect sense, considering the "Plum Blossom" portion of the name. Any way, the recent congratulatory remark among some in the online tea community has been the 2000th addition to Babelcarp. Sunday, August 26, 2007. Six gr...

CHA DAO: July 2010
http://chadao.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
A journal of tea and tea culture. Friday, July 30, 2010. Shifting Tides in the Tea Economy. What goes into determining the tea in your cup? Supply and demand, surely; but what determines each of those? You are liable to go back to that vendor for more of the same tea; and the confidence that those transactions engenders may inspire you to try other teas from the same vendor - or similar teas from other vendors. A plant not likely to thrive north of growing zone 7. In the past few years. But westerners ge...

Tea Novice: Gong Ting
http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007/09/gong-ting.html
Friday, September 14, 2007. I can't really judge anything about the cake, since it was my first time even looking at one as a whole. Comparing to the sample of Pu Qing Hao (PQH now, to save time) I've previously posted about is my only option. This looks like a rather light shu that seems to have an elegant appearance and not be too broken up or compressed. Are there whole leaves or large leaf pieces in the gaiwan after brewing or are they all pretty small pieces? September 15, 2007 at 12:06 AM. My brew ...

Cha-Ninja: 60's dancong
http://cha-ninja.blogspot.com/2012/03/60s-dancong.html
Saturday, March 31, 2012. Drinking old tea is always a special experience. I basically stumbled over this hiding away inconspicuously at the bottom of the dan cong page. Well I guess that is probably a description designed to draw in the likes of me. The leaf is not cheap at a little over a dollar a gram but considering its age it is not unreasonable. I pick my self up a five gram sample and promptly forget of the tea's existence. Until I notice it in my box of oolong samples. As with the 85 shui xian as...

But unfortunately the tea world is moving on without me, so I have no clue about the state of young puerh right now, and I’m afraid when I go back I’ll be out of the loop. So for any people who still...Ive never bee...

On this blog we're going to be exploring every nook and cranny of the wide world of tea, so buckle up and get ready for an Odyssey of Insani-TEA! Tuesday, November 30, 2010. It takes me roughly five minutes to make a cup of tea depending on what type I'm making and how full the kettle is. So how do I better capitalise on this unofficial tea making holiday I take every year?
