Adventures of the Wolfs in Alaska: New haircut
http://alaskawolfs.blogspot.com/2012/05/new-haircut.html
Monday, May 7, 2012. My little girl is growing up! She decided she wanted a haircut. I was very resistant because I love doing her hair. Matt was all for it, easier to take care of. I also thought it was a phase that she would outgrown. She continued to be persistant, so I made us both appointments. A before . . .. Sitting still, "like a statue! Enjoying her first professional shampoo! She sat so still for her haircut! A perfect little statue. Stephen was great all morning! Enough pictures, Mom!

Adventures of the Wolfs in Alaska: The Tents
http://alaskawolfs.blogspot.com/2012/05/tents.html
Monday, May 7, 2012. April 21, 2012 . . . a beautiful Saturday to go on a hike! We met another family for a hike at a place called "The Tents." The official name is Kasha-Katuwe Rocks National Park. The park was about an hour away. We hiked down a normal trail that led to a slot canyon. I have never hiked a slot canyon before, but it was so cool! In the picture below, the bluff on the left was our destination! I had some doubts initially, but once we were all the way at the top it was so worth the effort.

Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Thursday, March 21, 2013. Shalom, Mr President! Iran should be dealt with through diplomatic channels (though all options are on the table). Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. Hamas should renounce violence and recognize Israel's right to exist. Anyone who questions Israel's right to exist might as well reject the earth beneath them or the sky above them.[thundering applause]. For the full text of this speech click here. Israel is hopin...

Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Monday, November 18, 2013. 10 Things we'll miss about Israel. 1 The Food - So fresh, so tasty, and so healthy. I never thought I’d use my grill for eggplant more than meat, but that was the case. 2 The Weather- sunny and 75 – 80 for 10 months of the year. Seriously. What’s not to like about that? 4 The Garden Tomb- A must-see for any visitor to Jerusalem. This is, in my opinion, the antidote to the the over-churched crowded feel of the O...

Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Of all the memories we will have to take with us from this Olmsted experience, this one will certainly stand out. Just before Christmas this past year, Lydia and Will were baptized in the Jordan river, not far from where Jesus himself was baptized by John the Baptist. Lydia was very ready for her big day. Scandalous amount of thigh showing for a baptism but unfortunately I only remembered tights for Lydia. Anoth...

Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Saturday, November 24, 2012. After a little over a week of hostilities, a ceasefire. Is impressive defensive system, but ultimately it is band-aid that will never cure the actual disease. [ http:/ www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20385306. As for team Welch, we're enjoying some well-needed time off, visiting our Olmsted friends in Europe. Ironically, this trip was planned before any of this mess started, but after a bus blew up. Will an...

Adventures of the Wolfs in Alaska: Pumpkin Patch
http://alaskawolfs.blogspot.com/2012/05/pumpkin-patch.html
Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Fall my favorite season! The colors, the cool, crisp evenings, pumpkin treats, and clear skies! I was super excited las fall to live in a place with a true fall. Alaska has a 2 week period of fall in August or September. It was beautiful, but satisfy my need for fall. The kids enjoyed the "corn" sandbox! We found corn kernels for days after the visit to the pumpkin patch. No real animals to ride, but the kids enjoyed riding the "bull! Eleanor roped that bull with some help! Once I...

Adventures of the Wolfs in Alaska: Easter
http://alaskawolfs.blogspot.com/2012/05/easter.html
Monday, May 7, 2012. We missed our traditional easter egg dying party with our friends in AK. They sent us a picture of them missing us too! Here we are all prepared for our dying extravaganza! We know it isn't Halloween, only waterproof aprons we have! Waiting for the eggs to dye! The kids had fun seeing how bright they could get their Easter eggs. I forgot how much fun mixing the colors was and getting the brightest color possible. After church, the kids cooperated for some pictures! To reveal a cross!

Adventures of the Wolfs in Alaska: Spouse's Day
http://alaskawolfs.blogspot.com/2012/05/spouses-day.html
Monday, May 7, 2012. Matt's unit had a spouse's day last month. Unfortunately, Matt was out of town (skiing it up in Squaw Valley at a work conference.) The kids and I went to participate in the fun. The kids started with an Easter egg hunt, then the parachute was pulled out! The kids had so much fun playing with the parachute.. After a while, the guys hooked up lines to the climbing wall. Stephen surveyed the action trying to decide if he wanted to climb . . . I think he is a natural . . . Not So Far R...
