http://howthewestwasclimbed.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
How the west was climbed. Climbing and adventure in the great west. Adventure is just over the horizon. The Journey begins here. Monday, August 2, 2010. I'm so psyched to finally get a couple photos published in a soon to be released guidebook from Stewart Green. It's called "Best of Denver and Boulder" and should be out in the fall. Hopefully this is just the beginning! Nick Chan feeling the exposure on the Naked Edge. Jill Cooper on the timeless classic Bastille Crack. Monday, August 02, 2010.

How the west was climbed. Climbing and adventure in the great west. Adventure is just over the horizon. The Journey begins here. Friday, October 22, 2010. I was fortunate last week to be able to spend a few days in the Utah desert with some good friends to enjoy the incredible climbing and vast beauty known as Indian Creek. Here are some of my favorite shots from the trip. I awoke to this one morning and ran up to the top of the hill to capture this shot. Usual night at creek pasture. I get a call late t...

How the west was climbed. Climbing and adventure in the great west. Adventure is just over the horizon. The Journey begins here. Friday, March 26, 2010. Time to venture out to the Desert. We awoke Friday morning to near blizzard conditions here along the Front Range. I'm thinking, great, there goes the weekend. I did a quick check of the weather along I-70 and noticed things looked much better once over the "divide". Go west we did! Bob on Comic Relief 5.12- Scarface Wall. Jay goin' big on Comic Relief.

How the west was climbed. Climbing and adventure in the great west. Adventure is just over the horizon. The Journey begins here. Friday, February 5, 2010. Colorado fried chicken Eldo style. Local hardman Hank Caylor on Kickin' Chicken. Photo by Brian Solano taken from MP. However, I still plan on getting out with the crew to take shots while I'm on hiatus. I caught wind last night that Scott and Josh were meeting in Eldo this morning to go give Kickin' Chicken. Now, from the ground, the climb really does...

THE BIG WIDE WEST: July 2011
http://thebigwidewest.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
THE BIG WIDE WEST. Monday, July 25, 2011. Training, Dreaming, Doing. This is an attempt to make up for my recent dearth of content with an extended mega post. So before you go any further, open this website in another window:. It's a free music streaming site. It's super easy, the kind of thing seems to fulfill the best promises of the internet. If you haven't yet heard it, I recommend My Morning Jacket's excellent new album, "Circuital". Rob Kepley on "Problem Child" (5.12b) at Independence Pass. Or sen...

How The West Was Blogged | One Gal Watching Classic Westerns for the Very First Time
How The West Was Blogged. One Gal Watching Classic Westerns for the Very First Time. Preface to The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. August 6, 2013. I’ve decided to kick-off this blog with an inaugural viewing of John For d’s 1962 classic. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Before I actually discuss the film in my next post, I want to do a little preface:. Very little). Should I assume that readers, on the other hand, are familiar with them? Probably not, unless someone distributes this link to a local VFW).

How the west was climbed. Climbing and adventure in the great west. Adventure is just over the horizon. The Journey begins here. Friday, January 21, 2011. Flatirons on New Years Eve. Well, it seems that the new year is off to a good start here in Colorado. I've been getting out some to shoot photos and climb also when the weather allows. A few days ago I woke up super early and drove over to Estes Park hoping to get some good sunrise shots of the St Malo Chapel. On the Cerro Pallone. Best of luck! The we...

How The West Wasn't Worn
How The West Wasn't Worn. Western fashion is in a serious decline. We find it appalling that major western wear makers are making items that are nearly indistinguishable from those made by brands like Ed Hardy, Affliction and Tapout. Saturday, February 4, 2012. I hate to pop back in on the very same topic I left you all on but I'm going to go ahead and do it anyway. Flotsam from ' Cowgirl I Am'. I think this one wins because there isn't a single western element in it that I can identify. And doesn't it d...
