Wednesday, 28 September 2016. Special Visitors From Japan. We were really lucky to host students from a school in Japan this term. We were looking forward to watching a performance from the students but had no idea that they had some fantastic workshops up their sleeves! Check out what we got up to below! Thursday, 22 October 2015. Our favourite things this week. This week we had a trip to the Screenies Festival. We got to go on a bendy bus! We watched 5 movies that were Margaret Mahy books. Wednesday, 9 September 2015. An awesome Thursday in LC1 (written by students). Today in LC1 we've been singing, playing, doing drama and art, writing and some of us have been taking part in PINS workshops this afternoon. There were three workshops we could choose from:. Sketching with Liz (they learnt how to draw minions). Maths and Problem-Solving with Su-Min. Photographs of us learning. All the stories about our learning were written by our teachers. Sunday, 2 October 2016. After much discussion, preparation AND anticipation, we finally held our election for the LC1 Ambassadors. An ambassador was a role that we decided would be really valuable to LC1. Someone who is a good leader, who can support the learning of others, speak to and show visitors around our space and generally be a good role model.
