Thursday, September 20, 2012. Monday, April 25, 2011. How Pearl came to be. Pearl is my second book to be published as an author and illustrator, but the story of Pearl was born as I was waiting to hear from my publisher about another book I had written about a little boy porcupine who just loves balloons. That book, Percy's Big Idea, will be published in January of 2012. Unable to let a situation of such pathos remain unresolved, I raced home and began to write Pearl's story. From This Front Porch. Our days and years are passing, spent as a tale that's told. December was definitely a month filled with music at our house. There was a lot of practicing going on and multiple performances. We'll start with Kyla and her Holiday Choir Concert. It was amazing. Take A Walk Down Blog Avenue. How can I describe the thrill? The excitement and anticipation! The contentment just being there and the sense of satisfaction as we left. I can't explai. We're kinda in a rut taking family pictures around our old barns but sometimes its easiest to go with whats familiar. Logan (7), Morgan (9), Lane (10).
