From This Front Porch: September 2013
http://hugsfromus.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
From This Front Porch. Our days and years are passing, spent as a tale that's told. Somewhere in the month of July, we celebrated Colter's 11th birthday (how is this possible). Colters birthday can pretty much be summed up with one word. KYLE! It was so much fun to have his best buddy/cousin spend the night and go to the water park with him on his birthday! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the water park (Boohoo! Sunday, September 29, 2013. Our life with kids. Morning sun on flathead. Hope you ...

From This Front Porch. Our days and years are passing, spent as a tale that's told. The Friday before Halloween we cut out our pumpkins that we had been saving from our garden. It was a fun family evening! Our treat on Halloween was to go out for supper at Famous Dave's with Grandpa and Grandma. Then Grandpa took Kyla, Colter and Maya to the cross-town, high school football game. And Grandma came home to spend the evening with Melita and I! Oh, and the dress up part? And the candy part?

From This Front Porch. Our days and years are passing, spent as a tale that's told. Here are some other goings on in the month of December. You can tell how much your sister loves you, by how willing she is to lie on the hard floor and play multiple games of Candy Land with you. We got to have Devin with us for a couple nights. We heard a rumor somewhere that he could play the saw, so we found an old saw in the garage and Kyla's violin bow and he played it. Needless to say, we were IMPRESSED! Another bea...

From This Front Porch. Our days and years are passing, spent as a tale that's told. Kootenai Falls on the Kootenai River. Don, Dad, Johnny, Janette, Duane, Laura, Jewel). In the beginning of May, we made the journey to Libby to watch these bikers do the STOKR, 100 mile bike ride. We thought it would be a fun family camping trip to try out our trailer for the season and since it was Mother's Day weekend, I thought it would be a fun way to spend the weekend. Here we are on a little hike through the forest.

Mountain Memories: February 2015
http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Going for a Walk. The best antidote for a severe case of cabin fever is to head outside. The weather has been unseasonably warm here and our snow fled in record time. It all added up to a perfect opportunity to go for a walk! The lake still had it's layer of ice but that was about the only hint it was still winter. The sun felt lovely, even if the shade was still a touch chilly. Trooping through the woods. To a sunny beach. Where the rocks proved irresistible! Somewhere I'm sur...

Sunday, March 22, 2015. There was a birthday party in our house a few days ago. Here he is, our 8-year old with his football cake! Hanging out with Major while waiting to open gifts. And because Bumpa and Grammy and Don and Darlene believe in keeping everyone happy, every one of the kids got to open something. They were all quite pleased! Hmmmthese Technic Legos are a little more involved but, oh so much fun! Saturday, March 21, 2015. Time moves right along. Their smiles brighten our day. Even when said ...

A peak into life in the Cortez Casa and our adventures! Comments are very welcome! Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Moved in, sort of! A few from afar have been asking what our "new" house looks like! We have owned it since 2006, we just are back in it and wow, did we really leave and all that happen these past 2 years? It feels a little weird! One thing about moving back in, I can do things right this time! Here are a few pictures. Some of the inside. The one room I couldn't wait to have again! Bath tub and a big.

Sunday, May 10, 2015. Our annual Mother's Day picture:. It was taken last week while we were visiting my parents (since it didn't work to go this weekend) but it works! Monday, October 4, 2010. I know it is ALL girl, and we certainly could be having a boy. In which case, I would decorate with b.o.y. But seriously, this is awesome! Hmmmwonder if we could get Chad to add on for us? Oh and I want this too! The dark one. For my bedroom. It would be wonderful. Actually, it's black, and I would want dark cherry. But, here is the cool part, it's a revolving (full 360) shelf! I also want this. And I get it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Randy and Alison Harris.

Sunday, August 21, 2011. Oh what fun it is to ride. We didn't make plans for Paige to ride with anyone at the fair and we were feeling sorry for her having to go on the rides by herself. After her first ride we ran into Steph and cousin Levi! And then Ava and Tyson! And another BFF, Casiann! Jesse said we weren't leaving the fair until Paige fell asleep in his arms. PS I used to spend every-day-all-day at the fair. Oh the energy I must have had! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Randy and Alison Harris.

Hugs From Pearl
Thursday, September 20, 2012. Monday, April 25, 2011. How Pearl came to be. Pearl is my second book to be published as an author and illustrator, but the story of Pearl was born as I was waiting to hear from my publisher about another book I had written about a little boy porcupine who just loves balloons. That book, Percy's Big Idea, will be published in January of 2012. Unable to let a situation of such pathos remain unresolved, I raced home and began to write Pearl's story. From This Front Porch. Our days and years are passing, spent as a tale that's told. December was definitely a month filled with music at our house. It included all the choirs in her high school and the orchestra as well. Colter at the guitar. Maya's school holiday very enjoyable. Her school has a new music teacher and he is outstanding!
