Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Today I started the Focus program at the MUSC Weight Management Center. I had my first appointment with a nutritionist yesterday afternoon. I received my shakes and bars, and learned how I'll be eating for the next several weeks. I'm planning to use this blog to track my journey through the Focus program. I hope to lose 40 pounds during the 15 weeks. My dream goal is to lose 50, but I'm trying to set more realistic expectations. So, here's a recap of today:.

Monday, July 30, 2012. After a long absence. I know there aren't many followers left on this blog, and it's been almost two years since I've posted, but I thought I would try this again. At first, I just got behind in posting. I guess back-to-school and then the holidays distracted me. But, then, in January of last year, my dad died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack. It was a shock to the entire family, but we are recovering. I weighed 285 pounds last week, and was down to 282 this morning.
