Garagerock är en stil av popmusik, det är en lite råare genre av rock and roll som utvecklades i USA och Kanada under mitten på 1960-talet. Vid den tiden hade musikstilen inget specifikt namn och var inte heller en separat genre. Men 1972 kom ett sammanställande album med garagerock, Nuggets, som var till stor hjälp för att definiera stilen.
