A couple weeks ago, I ran into a weird little problem with generating postscript output from matplotlib - I had a simple plot that rotated 90 degrees whenever a bit of text in the plot was rotated too much. I did get some other little stuff done aside from work though - the Accutron got a new battery added and the dial removed. It's humming away now (they "hum" instead of "tick"), waiting for me to make a couple tools and for some oil to arrive in the mail (thanks dad! Also spent some time with LaTeX. I've been intending to get an ebook reader for a while for the usual reasons - I like the idea of digital books (especially now that I live so far from Amazon's warehouses! So, I did a bit of reading and downloading and "jailbroke" my kindle, the image at the top is one of my carefully-selected "screensavers".
